I had the opportunity to dine at Murray's on a beautiful Friday evening after a day of sightseeing in the area. What a great find! The patio is comfortable and spacious and a great place to enjoy good dining and the approach of sunset. The menu showcases local produce, cheeses, and meats in food that dazzles, and our excellent server was very knowledgable about the menu. I had the raw brassica (a kale salad with walnuts, raisins, garlic and ouray cheese), a half portion of the stuff rainbow chard (stuffed with ground port and rye berries and braised in a sauerkraut and tomato), and the sirloin strip with jalapeno cheddar mashed potatoes, complemented by a couple well-priced wines from their compact list. Each dish was a great flavor-packed success, and my fellow diners would agree. This was followed by a native blueberry galette, that offered the essence of fresh blueberries in a slightly sweet pastry. And top-notch espresso too!
