This is a completely average business hotel. It is now a DoubleTree, but it was built as Hilton in 1960. So if you do the math.....it's 52 years old, and it shows.

To be fair to the hotel, they have updated it. The lobby is grand and open and very warm and welcoming, and the rooms have nice beds, comfortable desks, and flat panel TV's.

However, they are still rooms for a 1960 Hilton, which means the bathrooms are ridiculously small and cramped, and the layout is not easy to get from one end of the hotel to the other. This hotel is built as a multi-wing hotel, with several wings jutting from the Lobby. Each wing has stair stepping levels the farther from the lobby it gets, but it's not a full level, so you may have to carry your suitcase up or down several 3-5 step short staircases by the time you get to your room. If you are unlucky and get a room at the end of a hall, you have a long walk to get to and from your room from the lobby or the conference/ballrooms at the other end of the hotel.

Upsides:
Hilton Points
Comfortable bed with nice duvet
Reasonably Priced

Downsides
Weird layout and small bathrooms
Long distance from many rooms to lobby/restaurant/meeting rooms
Extremely small bar--seats for roughly 20 people only

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the Lobby to avoid long walks to your room

Stayed here one night after seeing a concert at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Hotel Lobby was lovely, room was a good size with an extremely comfortable bed and a couch seating area. The hotel bar was small, about 8 seats, and stayed open until midnight on a Sunday (the bartender BTW was great). The price was right and we would definitely stay there again should we return to explore the Tarrytown area.

Hotel was very nice.Super convienient location! The lobby was very classy and check in was a breeze. The cookies they give you are out of this world. Our room was clean with modern decor. Everything in the room seemed new. The bathroon was a little drab and small. We had Got a King Room.and the bed was super comfy. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Styaff was super nice and the Bar tenders were Friendly and accomidating..

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the front lobby to avoid hearing any noise from any events that might be hap...

I have been spending some time in Westchester recently for work. I have tried out many of the hotels in the area, but the last three times, have gone to the Doubletree.

The main reason I keep coming back is because of the amazing beds. I get a great night of sleep every time I am here. I wake up rested in a very comfortable bed. Other great things are the good equipment in the gym. I've never tried the pool, but it looks very nice. The Keurig Coffee Makers in every room are such a great touch.

I highly recommend this hotel as the place to stay in Westchester!

I was stunned by this hotel. First, on a very long walk to my room through dirty hallways, I was beginning to worry. When I got to my room, my key did not work. I found a maid who called the front desk and they advised her to let me in...and she did...without checking my ID. The room was average at best, with an outdated shower/tub that needed new grout. Next, my TV didn't work and I had to call to have it serviced. All in all, this is a sub par Doubletree that is in serious need of renovation. I am surprised by any above average reviews. Way overpriced for what too get.

This is the perfect place for a NYC gettaway. Seriously. It's half hour to the city by train, the hotel picks you up and drops you off at the station - even after MIDNIGHT - so you can play and then AFFORD to stay close to the city. Highly recommend it.
