“Lovely motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was large with a sitting area and kitchenette. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with everything you could ever want for breakfast including waffles. There was no shuttle to anywhere. They do have a small indoor pool but I was disappointed because the hot tub was closed. We had a room on the ground floor right by the lobby but there was no noise. The bed was very comfortable. If you have a car, the location is great for sightseeing.

Easy to reach from either direction, and just off the Tappan Zee bridge. Very nice hotel, very helpful and gracious staff. Breakfast was better than most with fresh fruit , good sausages and eggs with fresh spinach as a nice garnish. Room on the fourth floor in the back was quiet with a lovely view of a wooded area that blocked any noise from the road beyond it. Housekeeping was excellent but I have very bad sinuses so first thing I always check is the HVAC unit. It had not been dusted in who-knows-when. So couldn't put the heat or AC on. Fortunately the windows opened a bit for fresh air. Front desk was grateful for my mentioning it the next morning. Hope they took it to heart and sent a maintenence person to clean it for the next guest.
Would stay here again if in the area.

Room Tip: Above the third floor ( the lobby is on the third floor) and in the back of building

I just got back from the Hudson Valley with a group of 35. We stayed in this hotel and it was perfect. I am a Platinum Member so I know my Marriotts! This SpringHill Suites was exceptional. Lili helped with every single detail and everything was ready when we pulled up with our coach bus. They even had already made a special area in the parking lot for the bus. The breakfast was good and this SpringHill Suites even had a bar that also serves light food at night. The entire hotel was spotless. The front desk was very helpful with providing written dirctions for our driver to one of the sights we were visiting.

Room Tip: All the rooms were great. Really clean and spacious.

We only stayed one night to visit the area, but we liked the spacious room and the central location. It happened to be a Wednesday which meant a complimentary manager's reception.

Breakfast the next morning was tasty and well prepared. The coffee was kept available, (doesn't always happen).

The staff was friendly. If in the area again, we would stay here. FYI: the lobby is on the 3rd floor, as it's on a hill.

Room Tip: All the rooms facing front are on the 3rd or higher floor.

Nice property with a welcoming staff. Location is perfect right by the Tappan Zee bridge. Rooms are well done and quite large. Plenty of towels in the bathroom and a nice shower head which is not always the case. Good breakfast with a variety not usually seen at this level of property. While using the fitness room i discovered under cover parking which is a welcom addition.with inclement weather.I am not a fan of Marriott but this property could change my mind. Only fault is you do hear those above you but only when they are in certain spots.

Room Tip: Elevators could be a bit confusing since the Main Level is on the 3rd floor. A few guests i saw cou...

Stayed here for three nights over Columbus Day weekend. Good hotel. Nice service. Staff seems organized, professional and competent. Parking was good. Room was spacious with a comfortable bed and large bath. Good housekeeping. My only real gripe is the breakfast area and layout. Heaven help the staff. They do a good job at managing the bedlam. But someone needs to come in there and help them layout the things more logically. Cups and creamer jammed against a wall to the left of the coffee urns with trash on the right---?? Huh?? Get your cup. Move right. Move back left to get sugar/creamer. Move back right again to throw sugar bags away. Really, only one person can be getting coffee or tea at one time. Waffles? Sure. Irons in the middle. Plates on the left. Batter on the right. Its a workflow mess. Someone with Marriott corporate needs to get in there and help them out. And help out all the guests, too. It was total gridlock in there.

Our daughter lives in Brooklyn and when we visit, we often stay In Tarrytown and take the train into NYC. This was our first stay at SpringHill Suites and it was wonderful. Our suite was spacious and had recently been remodeled. The bed was very comfortable with a pillow top mattress. The room had high ceilings, a four person sofa that could have provided extra sleeping. Refrigerator, microwave and bar sink. Amble plugs for the computers, phones, etc. We really appreciated being able to make the room totally dark to sleep and the ability to crack open the window for fresh air. The included breakfast was your usual fair; cereal, yogurt, toasts, bagels, coffee etc. nothing remarkable but it served the purpose of not having to find a place to tide you over for lunch. About a mile west on White Plains Road is the Bagel Emporium and we make a point of going there while in Tarrytown; their bagels are great and they have an assortment of cream cheese as toppers. The coffee is good there also. I will surely return to the SpringHill Suites.
