“Great Deal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2007

The hotel was convienent to get to, right off the highway. After a long trip in the car with the kids, it was nice to get out of the car and let the kids swim in the pool while my husband & I had a drink and some wings at the bar. Would recommened this hotel to any travelers with kids!

Our first night at the hotel 3 cars were vandalized and a car full of teens could be seen throughout the night doing drugs in their car. The rooms are poorly soundproofed, the seals on the window (facing the very busy highway) are rotted off. Traffic noise is constant, hallway noise is constant, apparently housekeeping (so much as it is) likes to set up shop right by our room. So all I can hear is the sound of slamming and banging all day long. The ice machine and corridor doors echo throughout the hall way, 24/7, the sound is so clear it's as if you don't even have a door. The room has updated furnishings (within the last few years) yet the carpet and more permanent fixtures need to be updated, the overall feel is dirty. The bathroom....sorely needs to be updated, the shower/tub has a crack in the tub, so it was fixed with a over sized seal, yet if you weigh over 100lbs it feels as if you may fall through. The drain backs up (UNACCEPTABLE- yet no one has come to repair it), the bathroom is dingy and dilapidated. Front desk staff is rude and clearly hates their job, of course if I worked here I would too. The internet is intermittent, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. Breakfast is served until, 9AM not the usual 10AM . Overall it could be worse, but as far as I'm concerned it isn't far off from it's sister brand, Super 8.

near airport, clean but old. this hotel is a former double tree and needs alot of cosmetic work (paint, trim, furnishings). front desk satff very friendly and helpful. there is an early morning shuttle to hancock airport. pool and spa area nice, water lukewarm. "Atrium" lounge looked like a good place for dinner snacks or a nightcap. overall I would say worth the price but go in knowing that it is older and not in great shape, but is clean.

We booked this place as it was close to the airport to catch our 6am flight. Although it is an older establishment, our room was clean and comfortable, and for $99 a night, if you are expecting the Ritz, then go elsewhere. The king size bed was very comfy and it had 5 pillows! We had a second floor room overlooking the pool and there were no issues of noise...mind you we stayed on a Sunday night, but there were people using the pool and it did not bother us. The bathroom was clean and had a hair dryer and a coffee maker.

The front lobby was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They aren't big multi-taskers, however, our service was fine. They gave us some 2-4-1 and free drink coupons to eat at the Colorado Steakhouse located about 1 minute down the road, which was convenient for us since we didn't want to go ftoo far. The food, service was good.

We did not use the indoor pool or the hot tub, so we cannot comment on that, but by looking at it, the area appeared clean.

We would stay here again given its convenient location and cleanliness. We have certainly stayed in a lot worse places for more money! It is also very close to the Carousel Center if you want to shop till you drop.

On a side note, they do have rooms for $125 where you can leave your car for 7-10 days and get a shuttle to and from the airport.

Pretty skanky place. Right off the freeway. We arrived on a Sunday. Wanted a room on the ground floor. Front desk was complaining that the clearning staff wasn't cooperating that day -- it was six o'clock at night. We found the cleaning staff - and all their children, cousins, nephews and neices occupying the pool. Finally got a room - but there was toothpaste still on mirror; dirt, smell, etc. for 79.99 -- not worth it.

My friends and I were looking forward to a weekend away shopping in Syracuse. However when we arrived after a 3 hour drive to Syracuse to the Comfort Inn & Suites, I was very dissapointed. When we walked into the lobby it was drab and uncomfortable. We were upset to find out was that the pool was only open until 10:00pm so we were not able to go swimming either night. When we finally got to our room through countless endless hallways it was a letdown. The decorating was very yucky, and I pondered to myself quietly whether the hotel even hired a decorater at all. The room seemed old and worn out, nothing was new and it was kindof dirty. In the bathroom which was quite big as a matter of fact, the coffee machine was broken and we weren't able to enjoy a fresh brew. We went down for breakfast the following morning and were dissapointed to find both toasters had a big OUT OF ORDER sign posted with no explanation. The waffle maker was also out of order, and they were out of yogurt, a most disapointing meal indeed. Finally, on our final night's stay this very rowdy team of soccer girls kept banging on our door, interupting the movie we were watching. When I went out into the hall to yell at them, they blamed me!!! And to top it all off, these girls were spying on me through my doorway that connects the two hotel rooms from inside the room- CREEPY! Finally, when we went for a dip in the pool, a HUGE, and i'm talkging ginormous hair floated by my friend and I in the pool. There was dirt and hair everywhere, almost as if there was no filter at all! The water temp. was lovely, and the pool was massive, but indeed the dirt definetely put a damper on our swim time (oh and we had to get up extra early the last day of our stay to use the swimming facilities as it closed at an early 10 pm at night, while most other hotels pools do not close until 11pm or even 11:30).
Overall I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a nice weekend away, it was not up to my standards or anyone elses (and believe me, i do not have high standards). So for the future this hotel was not good.

Thanks for reading my review,
Tara Falangie.

  • Liked — The cleaning ladies often forgot their carts in the hall so we had easy access to towels for the pool.
  • Disliked — Soccer girls were rude and rowdy. Pool was dirty. Bad decorations. No family channel on TV.

Nice room configuration for family -- king bed for parents, sofabed for teen son. Room very clean and comfy. Breakfast good and eating area pleasant and clean. Lots of TVs for viewing morning shows in breakfast area. Pool area lovely, open and clean. Staff pleasant. Our room was on the side away from the highway, so no noise problems. Only heard one aircraft. Will stay there again if in the area.
