I stayed here this past weekend with a group of scrapbookers. I arrived on an extremely hot day to be greeted in the clear cool air conditioned lobby. The bellhop assisted us with our luggage and courteously and professionally handled our bags. The room was clean and the air conditioning was set to a comfortable temperature (especially important because we were on our 8th day of a heatwave.)
The room has 2 queen beds with pretty bedding. The bed was comfortable to sleep in, and the blankets were soft. The beds do not have down comforters like some of the other hotel chains, but the quilt on the bed was nice. There were 4 soft pillows on the bed, and the sheets were clean and fresh smelling.
The room had a desk/ work area, padded bench, nightstand and flat screen TV. The desk/work area has 2 large drawers for clothes and another cabinet with shelves and a safe. There was also a closet with an iron and ironing board.
The floors were all clean with a nice carpet.
The bathroom has a shower with a half glass wall (no shower curtain.) It is difficult to turn on the water without getting wet. The shower was clean. There were 4 towels that were adequate (nothing special ... just average towels.) The toiletry set included shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I did not like the smell of the soap or lotion ... kind of caustic smelling and drying to the skin. There was a sign on the counter that advised if you forgot anything (razor, toothpaste, etc) you can ask at the front desk, and they would be happy to provide them.
There is no pool in this hotel.
There is a gym and a game room, but we did not use them.
The Internet was free and EXTREMELY slow. The hotel was full, and the wireless Internet dragged all weekend.
Our group was gathered in one of the meeting rooms for most of the weekend. The table set up and chairs were comfortable to sit in all weekend, and like I noted earlier, the air conditioning worked well even in the extreme heat.
The staff were all courteous and professional. The manager who checked us in, was all smiles and warmly welcomed us upon our arrival. The bellhop who brought our luggage to our room was willing to go the extra mile for us and make multiple stops to drop off bags. The serving staff in the restaurant were all quick to anticipate our needs and were happy to help us with all our requests.
The food was good. Our meals were catered all weekend. The only comment was that some of the meals were a little salty.
Overall we had a pleasant stay.
