This is a first class local Italian restaurant. We have enjoyed eating here for the past 25 years. The menu varies with the seasons and there are always Chef's specials. The atmosphere is informal and very pleasant. There are at least two other dining rooms where parties can be booked.
This evening we enjoyed a baked pear stfuffed with gorgonzola cheese and placed on a bed of chopped Romaine. The dressing was light and absolutely delicious.
My husband had cheese ravioli (his favorite) with a Bolognese sauce which was excellent. I chose spaghetti Putanesca which was wonderfully spicey with gaeta olives and capers. A very generous glass of Montepulciano accompanied the meal.
The dessert menu always causes a problem because we share and this evening was no exception. The Reginetta or the pizelle?? What a way to end the day!!
