“Nothing Really Special, Long Wait, Limited Parking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

Although I do enjoy the taste of a home-cooked meal, I also prefer only paying for that which I cannot make at home with ease. If you are like me then you will not really love this place, especially after the difficulty finding a parking spot and the long wait in a limited enclosed porch. The staff is not rude but not that friendly either. The food is good, but not great. The choices are average at best. I don't really get the hype. Sweet Mama's in Northport, Relish in Kings Park and Moondays in Huntington Village are much better choices for breakfast with a lot less of a hassle to get a seat.

“perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

had heard about Maureen's from friends put together a day trip for picking pumpkins from Nassau county. heard there would be a wait before hand. place was better then I hoped service of staff was incredible. food was phenominal people didn't seem to mind the wait because they knew it was worth wating for. even the parking seemed to work out as we waited for a minute or two someone was leaving.all I can say is a very enjoyable way to start the day

“Not going back”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Should have known when we saw cash only that it would not be great. Food was fair, place is noisy and service was let's say bland.

Had the pea soup, it was a bit spicy and while I like spicy food it did not work in the soup. Pancakes were a bit heavy. Hash and eggs --- again some type of unneeded flavor in the hash. Good home fries.

Would not go back at the price or for the food. There are too many better places for breakfast and lunch in the area.

“Best breakfast ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

I don't know how I missed this one for so long. I went there on Tuesday at 10 am and we could not get a table so we sat at the counter. Best set in the house we got to see the chefs but out some great dishes. It was a show in itself.the food is so good that You cannot stop eating it. I will be back soon.r r

“Consistently good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

This place is a local favorite and has been for years. The decor is ALL about cows and is a fun atmosphere. The food is very good with good sized portions. What i like best about Maureens is the preparation of the food. Whether you're getting pancakes or something more exotic, its ALWAYS well prepared. They do NOT take reservations and you'll usually have a short wait but the mood is upbeat with the people around fidgeting with anticipation. Go. Enjoy.
