“So Nice We Tried It Twice”

We stopped in to DiMaggios for lunch because we had business in the area and were pleasantly surprised by the service and meal. My wife had blackened salmon done to perfection and I had the penne putanesca which was tasty and the penne was al dente (my test of all restaurants).
So we ventured back for dinner. First, the owner recognized us, a pleasant surprise. Second, we shared a caesar salad which was better than average. But for dinner I tried chicken livers Italian style as much as a test of what the kitchen can do as opposed to my desire to try something different - I was pleasantly surprised again. My wife had the rib eye steak done rare and it was truly rare (her test of many restaurants) so she was pleased. The escarole side dish was also tasty. The dinner service was also very attentive, so we will be coming back again.

“Clean, Fresh and Friendly”

We found DiMaggios on the internet. We were looking for a place with an after work happy hour and then an enjoyable dinner. DiMaggios is now are "go to place". First what makes this place special is the owner is on premises and he is visible making sure everything is as ordered. The wait staff was smiling and friendly. The entire restaurant is immaculately clean from the bar to the dining room and the restroom and well decorated.

At the bar we were provided with homemade potato chips with a nice spicy kick. Our dinners came with salad or soup. The dinner salad was more then lettuce, tomato and cucumber but also included roasted red pepper and red cabbage, but the dressing was delicious....its their own vinaigrette. If you order soup be prepared for a bowl not a cup. Minestrone was ordered and this was no out of the can soup it was full of colorful vegetables and tasty.

Several chicken dishes were ordered and the chicken was pounded until tender. The Chicken Verde was tender and beautifully plated as was the Chicken Francese and you didn't need a knife to cut it. Tuesday is lasagna night so one of us ordered the lasagna which was a large piece with the right amount of sauce and cheese. This food was made to order, piping hot and not frozen.

I am so glad we found this place. They have other specials which are listed on the internet. This location opened in June 2011, but the also have a location in Port Washington.
