We stopped in to DiMaggios for lunch because we had business in the area and were pleasantly surprised by the service and meal. My wife had blackened salmon done to perfection and I had the penne putanesca which was tasty and the penne was al dente (my test of all restaurants).
So we ventured back for dinner. First, the owner recognized us, a pleasant surprise. Second, we shared a caesar salad which was better than average. But for dinner I tried chicken livers Italian style as much as a test of what the kitchen can do as opposed to my desire to try something different - I was pleasantly surprised again. My wife had the rib eye steak done rare and it was truly rare (her test of many restaurants) so she was pleased. The escarole side dish was also tasty. The dinner service was also very attentive, so we will be coming back again.
