My boyfriend an I have been staying at the Skaneateles Hotel for almost three years now when we visit the town and we absolutely love it.

It's a perfect location with a superfriendly staff, fantastic amenities and very comfortable, big rooms.

We stayed in room 201 in the hotel at 12 Fennell Street, right in the middle of town. The location was perfect. We were just steps from a fine meal at Joe's Pasta Garage, about a block from Thayer Park with a beautiful view of the lake, and just a few blocks away from the Presbyterian Church where we heard a lovely chamber music concert as part of the Skaneateles Festival. But the best part was the jacuzzi in the room -- a great way to unwind at the end of the day.

We arrived after the proprietors had left for the day, but there was a note taped to the door welcoming us and giving us all the instructions we could possibly want about how to get in and get situated. Toni and Curt have clearly given a LOT of thought to how to provide a top-notch experience for their guests.

We spent 3 nights at the Boutique Hotel; two nights in the village and one night at the property just west of Skaneateles. All rooms were very comfortable and the location is ideal. The "Honour kitchen" with fridge/freezer and microwave is a great idea. The breakfast items (OJ, packaged danish, oatmeal, water) were a really nice touch. We found the price to be very reasonable relative to the luxury of the accomodations offered. We will be back.

An absolute delight!! I have visited several times in the past two years and couldn't be more satisfied. The Hotel has two accessable rooms that are perfect for me since I can't climb stairs. My adult Daughter tells me the upstairs rooms are outstanding - she still talks about the Jacuzzi in her room, the buntiful "Goodies", and the delightful covered front porch with wicker furnature. She lives in NYC and will be visiting again later in August with great anticipation. One of my adult Granddaughters from Boston will join us - she has heard so many favorable things from us she is making a special trip. What a joy to be able to park your car at the Hotel and not have to move it again until you leave in two or three days - you can walk everywhere AND enjoy doing so! The wnderful people at the Hotel are friendly, pleasant, and delghted to tell you abut their Village and things to do, places to eat, etc. The Housekeeping is what you would expect at a very "posh" five star Hotel or better. In my opinion it IS a five star Hotel.

  • Liked — The people who run and operate the Hotel and the location - walking distance to everything.
  • Disliked — I liked everything but I would have liked to be able to spend more time tjere.

This is one of a network of shared properties operated by a couple from the Skaneateles & Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York. Located about 1.5 miles west of the village of Skaneateles, my boyfriend and I arrived here on a Saturday night of long driving through Southern Ontario, headed for the Lake Placid/Adirondack Highlands.

We couldn't have asked for better accommodation, a private bungalow-suite style residence, and the property manager, Curt was more than helpful providing us detailed instructions that he left for us taped to the office door since he knew we'd be getting in late.

The entire region is a treat, beautiful hiking, restaurants, waterfront cafes, wineries, and of course cross-border shopping that we came for!

The only caveat is that I wish there had been some energy bars and Vitamin water since I'm now obsessed with both since travelling to the US twice this year, but the in-room whirlpool was a pretty great substitute! All in all, a great stay!

We recently visited the USA from the UK and spent 3 days at the Skaneateles Boutique Hotel in Skaneateles, New York State and we really could not fault it. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the rooms were absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to all our friends and if we ever get over to the US and the beautiful town of Skaneateles again we will definitely try and book in this hotel. A big thank you to everyone there for making our stay so memorable.

We booked this hotel after reading reviews on trip advisor and then booking directly on the hotel's website. We were staying for a night on our way to Niagara Falls.
When we arrived, we were welcomed by Toni (one of the owners) who put us right at ease and made us feel very welcome. The hotel has 5 rooms and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are a reasonable size and the shower is fantastic. There are coffee making facilities in the rooms and if you run out, there is a small kitchen as part of the hotel where you can top up or get juice or cokes.
You are only a two minute walk from the main street and we would certainly recommend Bluewater grill for food - excellent food especially the steak and extremely reasonably priced and very polite staff.
If we are passing this way again, we would certainly stay here without a doubt!
