The Mirbeau is the most romantic place we have ever stayed, and we have travelled all over the world. We come here every year for our anniversary (we were married in Skaneateles). The restaraunt is AMAZING...it was so lovely to eat outside in the Monet inspired garden and watch the tropical fish in the pond. The rooms are fantastic with every amenity imaginable. A few times we have been upgraded to a room with a balcony...it is wonderful to have breakfast on! We always get very good rates by staying midweek ($165). The staff is a delight. And the spa!!!!!!!!!! This is a very special place, and I look forward to our next visit!

Recently returned from Mirbeau Inn and Spa after a two day stay for a honeymoon trip to the Fingerlakes region.

This is truly a paradise! Beautiful grounds, cozy well appointed rooms and service that is to die for. Though only there for two days, the memoried will last. At every turn the staff was there to make sure our stay was everything we hoped for.

We indulged in the "Art of Living" spa service, a truly romantic experience that every couple deserves to experience at least once. Worth every penny and then some! The spa was luxurious, immaculately clean, and probably the most relaxing place we've ever been.

Dinner at the spa was top notch, excellent service, great wine list (if a bit pricey), and scrumptious food. Desert was served with "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate around the desert plates. What a classy place.

I can't recommend this place enough, if you are even considering a stay here do yourself (and your special someone) a favor and book with confidence!

My husband & I spent a very relaxing 4 days at the Mirbeau in one of the cottage rooms overlooking the Monet garden. I would agree with the critism that there could be more dresser space (we had only 3 drawers for the 2 of us) but the room itself was lovely. It was purposely decorated to have an "old" chateau look to it and the paint on the walls looks like it was palleted on in areas (like an artist). The bathroom was spacious and well appointed and the beds were the most comfortable I've slept in! I found the staff courteous & helpful and the restaurant wonderful (though pricey). They told us they were putting in a jacuzzi, which would be a nice addition. Spa services were wonderful. We did the couples treatment in a room with a fireplace. They could use a pool. Would definately stay there again.

We were looking very forward to a relaxing stay at this Spa that has been written up and critcally acclaimed in mags such as Travel and Leisure. It was not worth the $$$. The rooms were small and the carpets were filthy. The staff for the hotel and dining were less than professional. There is not one dresser in any room - therefore one person must live out of a suitcase. We also did not receive important messages from the front desk prior to checking out. The Spa is wonderful - best relaxation room I've been too and the treatments were great as well - nice locker room. Next trip to Skaneateles I would stay at the Packwood (totally renovated looking at lake) and use Mirbeau for Spa services only. P.S. Construction work going on the entire time - if you are going to stay be sure they've completed that or you will wake up to banging.
