“The perfect escape from the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2011

My sister and I stayed at La Maison Blanche for a weekend and fell completely in love with the place! The room was spacious, clean and had a very comfortable and homey feeling to it! The hotel had a lovely garden where we sat and enjoyed our brunch with the best cup of coffee we've ever had - definitely a must-try!

The staff was very friendly and service-minded and went out of their way in order to help us! We will for sure visit again when we get the chance, as it is simply the perfect getaway from the city without being too far away.

We stayed at La Maison Blanche Hotel for the memorial weekend and I must say it was a charming experience. The presence is of french country, topped with the smell of fresh pastries which happen to be baked on premises. Delicious! The staff was accommodating, interactive and attentive at all times. Michelle the waitress was outstanding. We will definitely be spending most of our summer here. It is the ideal place one has in mind to get away from NYC's hustle and bustle, without boarding a plane.

We really couldn't have asked for a better memorial day weekend! Stayed there for 3 nights and was blown away by level of service, warmness, cleanliness- and F&B was a knockout.
The property is children and pet friendly and in the mornings has the cutest little pastry shop open for coffees and a good pain au chocolat!
Petanque sundays are such fun as well, and Erica at the bar fixes a mean Pimms cup that can't be beat!
They have free bikes on rent too and it only takes less than 5 minutes to zoom down to sunset beach...although really, if you're looking for some proper R&R staying put at the La Maison Blanche isn't such a bad idea either!
Thank you to the whole team at LMB for making our stay so memorable and relaxing!
-Cheers, Jo

I had to spend a night on Shelter Island and did not have a reservation. Someone had mentioned this hotel to me and so I dropped by hoping for the best.

Well, it was great. A beautiful room and the gentleman who helped me, John, could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. I hope to get back again for a longer stay.
