The manager was the worst person I ever had to deal with in my life. He was rude and obnoxious. We never actually stayed because of a family medical emergency. Management was not accomodating, sympathetic at all. To top it all we were charged the full price of the room plus more, even though there was no way we would be able to use the room. Heaven forbid should you get hurt, sick or die prior to arrival because you would be billed anyway. I will never, ever deal with this establishment and I will never recommend it to anyone.

Terrible service! The manager was unwilling to work with us when we needed to change our reservation. We cancelled our reservation over a week before our stay (cancellation policy is a week), and they charged us half of our room rate! They would not speak to us on the phone regarding the charge and hung up on us when we called to discuss it. This was the only available hotel when we booked the room, and now we know why! Think twice before booking a room!

This place is no where near Cooperstown. The office was fillthy and the manager/owner was very rude and kept questioning me and did not answer questions about the establishment. There were many disclaimers
that were not spelled correctly in the office stating gurantees. We had to give our license plate numbers in case we stole anything. They
offered free coffee which consisted of dirty styrofoam cups, disgusting micowave and Sanka coffee probably from 30 years ago. The very rude manager gave us a tour of the first room. The carpet, drapes, and bedspread were stained. The paint was peeling from the ceiling. The bathroom had many bugs on the floor. He offered to clean
them up and told my husband and me that we let tehm in when we opened
the door. The mustiness of the mold from the shower took over. He brought us to an efficiency suite. The stove (as if you would cook here) had food particles surrounding it. The room reeked of paint(oh yeah its been renovated) and the once again the linens were filthy. At this point I refused to take the room and demanded a refund. The manager told me that if I wanted luxury accomodations I should have not come to the Bugit sorry the Budget Inn. My husband told him that he wouldn't let our pet sleep here. I was further inconvenienced by having to cancel my credit card and had to drive an additional 100 miles to Albany to find a decent room. Unless you have the desire to act out "Psycho" I would strongly suggest you run away when you find this horror show of a motel. Spend an extra couple bucks and find a place where you could actually sleep.

Whatever you do do not stay at this "hotel"if you are going to Cooperstown. It is much farther from town than advertised. The manager Sam is rude and threatenening and the rooms smells as well. When I wanted to leave because of the false advertising, he would not let me out of my "reservation". II was forced to pay a 250 dollar cancellation fee and then went elsewhere. It was worth the 250 bucks wasted to not stay there another night.After that he still wanted to try and bill me for the nights I didnt stay on top of the cancellation fee. I had to call me credit card company and warn them that he was going to try and put through another charge which he did try and do as well and then he called me several times on my cell phone bugging me about the money. Be warned
