“Gershon's Deli”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

One of the best deli's in the area. Great sandwiches, never dissappointed. Everything is good. My favorite sandwich is roast beef with pate and cold slaw on rye bread. My grandson's is the reuben..

“Great Combo - Gershon's and Proctors”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

We enjoyed an early dinner at Gershon's this week after a matinee at Proctors. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The choice of sandwiches and platters was good, and you can even make requests if you want to make a different combo. The meat was delicious and lean. The bread was fresh despite the fact that it was close to closing time. The potato knish tasted "like New York". Our friend's fish platter was beautiful and ample. We'll definitely make this a usual stop after future Proctor matinees!

“Average Deli”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Because its been there 50 plus years its not the same owners. i found it to be average. i mean really if you go you will see what i mean. The sandwiches are small for the price, the soups are average, the service is cold, and the table settings are so close you can hear the table next to you chewing. This place is no biggy.

“It's not a Jewish Deli, but it used to be.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

This is a Jewish style deli. Yup, it's good, tasty sandwiches with the usual combo of pastrami, tongue, corned beef, turkey and sides. Dr. Browns sodas are there.

It certainly isn't kosher.

“Great food, very nice people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

We had the pleasure of dining at Gershon's while in town for a volleyball tournament at Union College. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Try to get a table in Carol's section: she makes you feel like you're the most important customer in the place. I got the pastrami and corned beef combination sandwich with Russian dressing and coleslaw on seeded rye bread. Perfect size sandwich and delicious! My wife got the hot pastrami on seeded rye with mustard which was also wonderful. I got a side of potato salad that was quite good, too. Service was fast, courteous and the food was just so satisfying. Prices are quite reasonable.

We sat next a local couple who own a local insurance agency and they were a delight to talk to. They go for lunch every Saturday and had great recommendations both for Gershon's and for other local restaurants. It made the lunch even more enjoyable. We also had a nice discussion with a staff member at the cash register who seemed like he was one of the proprietors. We inquired about gluten free options and he quickly explained what was GF and what accommodations they could make. He was very helpful and eager to to ensure that we were satisfied.
