When I walked into The Parker Inn, I was amazed at what I saw. This looks like a hotel that belongs in New York City and not Schenectady.
It was beautifully designed and had amenities that accomodated me. The staff far exceeded my excpectations being friendly and helpful, going out of their way when ever I needed anything. Great Hotel!
This is an excellent hotel that would receive a 5 instead of a 4 if it weren't in Schenectady, which sold its integrity for a government stipend to allow derelicts from other regions to live on its streets and consequently block your way to the hotel. (I counted 17 on the short walk from the parking lot to the hotel) However, if you are in town on business, or want to attend a performance at the Proctor, this is the place. Also, too bad there is not a decent restaurant within walking distance.
