Savona has the potential to be a really good restaurant. They have the right atmosphere, lively and hip.The room was a weird shape and many of the tables just faced the bar so your view was of other patrons drinking. The appetizer menu is a little confusing. They want you to choose a meat, a cheese a crostini etc all listed in categories. I think it would serve better if they just listed the entire offering and then just let folks choose. The portions that they gave were barely enough to serve the 3 of us. Having it all separate is a little intimidating to a less experienced diner. I had a very good short rib entree. It did not come with any substantial sides. It had a few carrots and a scattering of peas . For the hefty price of the entree the vegetables and potatoes should be included rather that separately priced. The dessert menu was okay . We opted for their specialty which was called Bombolini? Not sure of the spelling. Anyway,....they were little beignets that were hot and crisp. They came with 3 dipping sauces. Very nice.I also ordered the Panna Cotta. Not the best I ever had. It was topped with a mushy serving of strawberries Not necessary. The wait staff was very nice and friendlybb.. I think they need to iron out a few things. I hope they will get better.
