“QUAINT AND HEARTY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

My friends and I had lunch there yesterday. The food and service were good and the portions were more than ample. My vegan friends stuck to soup and salad. I would definitely go there again.

“Delightful & yummy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2011

Saugerties has a real gem. Enjoyed a delicious lunch the other day while meeting up with some friends & was pleasantly surprised. The menu is full of interesting selections. My omelet was awesome & they don't rush you so you can enjoy the visit without feeling like your being pushed out, even when they're busy. Can't wait to go back.

“Interesting food in a dull town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

This is probably the only restaurant that I would recommend in Saugerties. The town has a certain small town charm that disappear when the sun goes down... beware. The food was really good and it was nice that it was "wholesome".

“Very Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2011

It had been a while since we had eaten at Miss Lucys Kitchen, and now I know why. Being one of the higher priced restaurants in town, the expectations are at least a well cooked meal. Since they recently started their new barbecue business, my wife decided to try the rack of ribs. Not only was it dry and overcooked, it was an obvious end piece and was sized like a half-rack order.
I had the grilled rib-eye, medium-rare, one of the only dishes without a really odd side pairing. While the beef felt soft to the touch, there was almost no pink and it was tough to cut and chew. The steak was under trimmed and the fat covered over a third of the dish. The sides consisted of a small portion of slighty tasty mashed potatoes, and some green beans. The sides were small and nothing to get excited about.
The restaurant itself has a great casual and comfortable feel, but does not make up for the food issues. Although we eat out 1-2 times a week, it will be a while before we try this again.
