“great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2011

My husband and I stayed here with our dog while he attended a. local conference. Very pet friendly. Fabulous location . Next to a lovely park . A short walking distance to main road with all the local shops and fun areas to walk around. Very very clean. Front desk staff was very helpful . The only complaint would be that the walls must have been very thin because you can hear everything in the rooms next to you....

If you are ever in Saratoga Springs on business or pleasure, this hotel is a don't miss. I walked from the hotel to the Spa State Park...to a great restaurant downtown, and into Congress Park. So pleasant and truly right in the heart of Saratoga Springs. As opposed to others in the city, this hotel caters to business and leisure travelers. many of the other hotels seem to be "group houses" and seem to show the wear and tear of the bump and grind of day-to-day operations.

Cannot say enough good stuff about the staff and the level of hotel.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms are really great.

Had a pleasent stay and wonderful dinner across the street at Lemon Cello Restaurant .
The beds are confortable, the rooms are clean and they make good drinks at the bar!
I will return.

We stayed here on 3/7 for one night. I accompanied my husband on a business trip. He stays here once or twice each year. Although he has Platinum status with Holiday Inn Priority Club, he/we are not always upgraded as spelled out by the Priority Club guidelines. At the HI Saratoga Springs, we were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice! This HI really values Priority Club members - the upgrade, and three restaurant coupons were offered to us. The hotel itself has been improved since I last stayed there. The lobby is welcoming. Everything, including our room, was immaculately clean, and I make a point of looking! Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and efficient. I had breakfast in the restaurant, Bookmakers, and the service and food were excellent. The hotel is nicely located, and a very short walk to the main business district, and in nice weather, the the City Park. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to my next stay!

Got this hotel on a bid from Priceline and was very pleased with the experience. The normal rates on the discount sites are still a good value for what you get. It does seem to be an older hotel conversion but the only place you notice that is the old elevators and a slightly musty smell in the hallways but I am very sensitive to those smells. The rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. The rooms were a little small for this type of hotel but probably because it is a conversion. But everything was clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were awesome, the sheets great quality and fresh and clean. The staff was super helpful and accommodating and very professional and classy. The free morning coffee was quite delicious so many brownie points on that and they will even get you a free cup during the day from the restaurant if you wish. I did not try the restaurant but it was packed on Friday night. The pool area was nice with radiant heated floors at the entry, pool was warm and clean with nice furnishings. Had to walk outside to enter the fitness room which was a little inconvenient. Nice fridge in room. All in all would definitely stay here again.

I just stayed there last weekend and hardly slept. There are two problems with this hotel - 1 - it is very noisy and you can hear everything in neighboring rooms and 2 - the rooms cannot accommodate more than two occupants. We had three in our party and the tiny beds did not work for a group. The best upside about this property is that you can get a great deal during the offseason using Priceline. $50 rooms are hard to beat. So next time we will get two rooms at that price!
