“Family/friends gathering for a memorial service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

I received no discount for my Best Western membership so do not see the point of having one. The rooms were fine, the breakfasts minimal, and there was no place where our group could gather. Also I received no credit for my Best Western membership and stays in previous years.

I stayed here for one night this month. The room and bathroom were both very clean and comfortable. The shower was a little odd: there is no tub or door so the water can venture out into the bathroom itself. My daughter showered first and there was water all over the floor (the only drain is the one in the shower stall). We used all our towels to soak up the water on the floor. I turned the nozzle towards the wall so it wouldn't go out of the shower but this didn't allow for the easiest shower experience! There is also no sink space. It's just a pedestal sink. This might work fine for men but I had a toiletry bag, makeup bag, hair dryer and straightener so it was difficult to find a place to put them off of the floor. The only other place in the bathroom to store items is on top of the toilet but I was afraid they'd fall in! The hotel is older but in a good area and much less expensive than some of the other hotels. The staff was very friendly. It's a good alternative to ultra-expensive hotels in the area if you're on a budget or just staying for a few nights.

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and located just minutes from the main entrance to Saratoga Spa State Park where I was running a half marathon. Very convenient location for folks attending a concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center or other event in the park. It was about two miles from the center of downtown Saratoga Springs.

We were greeted with a smile and friendly welcome to the hotel. They were very helpful offering us a variety of useful information on restaurants. They were very friendly! Nice to be able to get up & have a good breakfast.

Room Tip: They just need to fix the pullout couches.

BEWARE....First we do not know if the room shown on the website actually exists!
We arrived late Friday evening for the Jazz Festival weekend.
We had reserved a room with two Queen beds weeks earlier. After being given a room with ONE bed and one broken pull out sofa. We explained that this would not work for us and repeatedly told the woman "manager" that we had booked a room with two beds and showed her our Reservation. We were told that there was nothing they could do. THEY do not Guarantee the rooms reserved.
Also the woman in charge laughingly told us that we had to pay anyway. She stated repeatedly that Expedia had to pay her, regardless of the error and that we had to pay for the room.
(The place is not even clean and the hallways smell.
We booked this through AARP Travel Center/Expedia and they were amazing.
They listened to the story, confirmed to us that room with two beds was guaranteed and called the hotel to have our room Cancelled. Then they spent a few hours finding us another hotel.
This is one of the busiest weekends in Saratoga so that was not an easy task.

Room Tip: DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. They will not honor your reserved room,

we booked online through hotels.com and arrived to find out my date booked was the following day. No problem, called hotels.com immediately called hotel to switch days. The man at the front desk, who was later determined to be the manager,Told them he could not change this without his manager (HIM) and he had to charge us an additional 203.99 (with our AAA discount) plus the already debited 130.99 we paid months ago!! When it was determined that he lied and was the manager, he became angered and wanted us to leave, called the police as well ( by the way we are 3 young women staying for a nearby concert).

We had plans to stay at another location initially, but it did not work out and when we checked hotels in the area they were far more costly. My husband and I like staying at Best Western and thoroughly enjoyed our visit here at Best Western Park Inn. The lobby is very inviting and the room also very nice. Bathroom is much more spacious than a few other places we have stayed. We enjoyed the breakfast immensely and want to thank you so much for making our stay very pleasant. We would definitely come here again if we're in the area!!
