“Good food, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

The Farmer's Market pizza (goat cheese, zucchini, white bean paste) and antipasti were delicious, as was the white sangria (strong, but yummy). Service was prompt, and our server always had a smile on his face. Sit in the window, it is lots of fun to people watch.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

Htheaving made a reservation over three weeks ago I expected better than a booth in the bar area. Our server was prompt for our drink order. She reminded us twice that the kitchen was slow and we may want to order an appiterzer to hold us over. In fact our dinners arrived fairly quick. Not good, for eighteen dollars I expect more than five clams and a handful of pasta. The eggplant dish was no better. Our server was very good but no value here. Food ok but too small for the dollars.

“Good but not great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

We went here for dinner...party of 4. We were seated in the back dining room next to the cash register/utensil prep area even though there were window tables open (supposedly reserved, although some empty as we left). My seat was up against a post and my wife was seated right next to the wine rack which made it difficult for the waitress to serve us. The restaurant was not that busy...I would think they could have seated us in a more accommodating/appropriate spot. We were very well dressed and not in sweats or that type of garb that people tend to go in these days.
The appetizer...sweet and sour calamari...as good as I've had (and I've had a LOT of calamari) although the portion size could be larger.
The main course...somewhat overpriced but mostly in the above average range of quality and portion. Unfortunately, I had the Lasagna, and although it was a huge portion, the center bottom was cool instead of hot...and the top layer was overcooked to the point of the cheese and pasta being crunchy. The others in our party had various pasta/chicken/eggplant dishes that they all liked and thought were well prepared. For the prices, a salad should be included rather than extra cost.
The wine...is overpriced...but then most places are.
The desserts...my wife and I split cheesecake...very good with a nice side of very good whipped cream and strawberries. My son split a carrot cake with his GF...they said it was ok but did not finish it which makes me suspect that it wasn't that great.
Coffee and tea were fine but a second cup (of coffee) was not offered.
The service...quite friendly, attentive without being overly so.
The bill...$140 + tip of $28 = $168 too high IMHO for the level of food quality, atmosphere, especially considering lack of dinner salads.

“Parents' Weekend Dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Great casual restaurant in downtown Saratoga Springs. Nice outside patio too. Food is good but not exceptional Italian themed. Pasta dishes sometimes wonderful, sometimes just okay. Ambiance is casual and friendly but can be noisy when crowded. Enjoy!

“ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

The food is decent and not over priced. The wait staff seems to be made up of local college students. They are pleasant and willing, but not well trained.
