We chose to eat at "The Decoy" on our first evening staying in the Seneca Lake region due to the proximity of the restaurant to our hotel. The restaurant is located just South of the Glenora Winery on Rte. 14, and could easily be missed because it looks like a small white house. We learned about the Decoy from a local winery where the staff told us they heard it was quite good. The Decoy has a full bar service. Menu items range from simple (hamburgers) to chicken, pasta and seafood. I had broiled scallops and they were very good. The Decoy has a small salad bar, but everything was fresh and the salad dressing tasted homemade. The restaurant was very busy as it was a Friday night, yet service was friendly and efficient. Dinner for 2 with 2 glasses of wine was approx. $60 before tax/tip. This is an unpretentious place with a limited, "homey" menu (no fancy french cuisine here) frequented by locals. We were pleased with our meals and would return.
