On 11/25/2012, I took our son and his family to the Red Lobster Restaurant, at 1515 West Ridge Road, Rochester, New York. A total of 7 of us went to the restaurant to have dinner. We went early, arriving there at approximately 5:30 PM because it was my granddaughter's birthday, and we wanted to get home fairly early to celebrate her birthday and open presents. Our waiter was good, and he took our order fairly rapidly, after bringing water to the table. I looked at my watch and it was 7:50 when the food was finally delivered to our table. My son ordered Oven-Broiled Flounder. The waiter brought "stuffed" flounder, which my son could not eat because he is gluten-intolerant. I told the waiter to take it back to the kitchen, and to send the manager of the restaurant out to see me. The manager came out promptly and apologized for incorrect preparation of the meal my son had ordered, and told me they would bring the flounder that he ordered out in just a few minutes. They brought out a tiny lunch portion with some French fries. The waiter advised my son that he had turned the order in correctly, but that the cook had not prepared the ordered as he turned it in. He told my son that the full order would be out in a few minutes, and that the manager said not to charge for the error. The full order never arrived, and my son ate the salad, French fries, and the small lunch portion that was brought out.
The salads were made of old romaine lettuce, with some rotten black spots on it. I ordered grilled salmon and grilled shrimp. It was fair, nothing special.
The food was rather average to poor. I have eaten at other Red Lobster Restaurants that were much better than this one. Perhaps their regular cook or cooks was not on duty when we ate there.
