“Beautiful garden, gorgeous building”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We actually came when the house was still closed, so we only spent time around the building. It was surrounded by manicured, beautiful garden. We were blown away by the architecture of the building, the layout and the garden. I guessed we were not the only one because that day we saw some photographers used the garden for family picture as well. A hidden gem and perfect for your photo shoot if you happen to visit Rochester.

“AWESOME MUSEUM and 50 ROOM HOUSE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

My wife and I visited the George Eastman House recently. The House is beautifully maintained with wonderful gardens surrounding the house. It was a wonderful experience for us as we were both blessed with wonderful careers with Eastman Kodak. The museums were terrific with hundreds of cameras and photographs along with detailed history of the photographic process. The guides were extremely helpful to answer most any questions you might have regarding photography. We would highly recommend this attraction for anyone interested in Kodak, photography, and the history of George Eastman - the founder of Kodak.

“Great stop and near a nice coffee shop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

The Eastman House was funded by Kodak money, and every penny was well spent by the same interior decorator employed by Teddy Roosevelt. Two levels of the three floor home are open to the public, and the tours are self guided. There's even some more modern gallery space that has been added on to one end of the mansion. I stopped here to break up a road trip and I would recommend strolling the gardens if you have the time/ the weather is nice.

“Take the tour...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

An interesting landmark. Had expected/hoped for more pictures from the archives to be posted. The tour highlights a lot of the interesting little facts of the home that you'd miss on your own. Had a great docent who knew her stuff and was passionate. Made it a great visit.
