“Historic park with 500 different kinds of lilac bushes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Same person who designed Central Park designed this lovely park. In May it has a festival showing off its 500 different kinds of lilacs. Beautiful park with many flowers and aged trees. Also has a small greenhouse with orchids. A few quail walk around the green house inside.

Learn about history and experience the art in this beautiful landmark cemetery. Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, Civil war soldiers. Interesting monuments.

“NIcest small park ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

I live nearby and walk here at least once a week. This is one of Frederick Law Olmsted's best parks. Long views. Amazing flora. Switchbacks with completely different views.

“Great place for a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Love, love taking my kids here for a great walk and a visit to the Arboretum. The hill behind the Arboretum is great for kids running up and down and getting exhausted!
