“Fine restaurant with wide selection of menu items and wines”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Six of us enjoyed a terrific dinner at this large and friendly American-style restaurant in the center of beautiful and charming Rhinebeck. The menu was interesting, and each of us enjoyed our meals that iincluded seafood, pasta and game (venison). The server was very busy but well-informed and as attentive as he could be. Ambiance was pleasant and everyone was pleasantly satisfied. We would definitely like to go back for another meal.

“An unusual setting for good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

The food was good and the atmosphere was lovely but the first table that we were seated at was awkward. Although we were moved to a better table, it took a bit of discussion. The restaurant is in an old church and I found the building really lovely.

The food was good - especially the pumpkin ravioli. I'd go back just for that.

“Ate here two nights in a row”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013 via mobile

We ate at the bar in the bistro and it was so good that we came back the next night. Great chicken wings, martinis, burgers, pasta and service. It is pricey but we were on a weekend vacation so we splurged and were very happy.

“Good food, so-so service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

The food was very good, but our server was distracted and careless. There were long pauses between dishes and a long wait for wine.

“Great food, unique setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

Great dinner in the dining room at Terrapin (there is both a bistro and the dining room). Service and food were excellent, we weren't rushed at all, just a leisurely, lovely meal. We especially enjoyed the setting -- the restaurant is a repurposed church -- it was fun to look around and guess what might have been in a particular place while the building was still a church. Highly recommended.
