I went to see Pema Choldren here and it was overall a wonderful experience and was transformative. (Although next time I would stay in a local hotel instead of the dorms). Omega is located in a very rural area and the grounds were very nice - a bit like going to camp. The schedule is arranged well and gave enough time to explore. There is a nice library, bookstore, and other activities to keep one as busy as one would like. The cafeteria had vegan food which I was happy to do for a couple days, it was a bit plain but there were plenty of seasonings to adjust. Check-in took 45 minutes and I think they could do better with allowing early checkin for weekend events. For the dorms you need to bring your own towels and sheets or rent them. I brought my own but then came home with a lot of laundry. The main complaint I had was the dorms have very thin walls and can be fairly noisy depending on who you get in your dorm. Also the cabin is a bit rickety, so just walking around and shutting a door can be heard through the whole cabin. I barely got any sleep the second night because of the noise from the person next to me. The cost dorm room alone is $90 a night and if you are a light sleeper I am I would recommend staying at a local hotel and using the commuter option.
