There are some positives about this restaurant. The ambience is romantic and the menu is appealing. It's not expensive. Nice wine selection for us by the maitre d. Unfortunately, the food truly does not measure up. Just not the calibre that it should have been. It's not that it wasn't imaginative: it's Paris bistro food, after all, but it was BLAND and BORING. It was uninspired. And the staff needs training. The maitre d was capable, but one young waitress tried to clear twice before we were finished, and she interrupted our conversation REPEATEDLY to ask how things were. It seemed that she would wait until we were in the middle of a sentence before she would hop over and stop us in our tracks. As Nora Ephron would say, she ruined every punch line. It was incredibly annoying. So unfortunately, until they fix these two issues, we're not going back -- we'll have dinner next door at the Thai place, which has ZERO ambience, but at least the food is delicious. Sorry about that!
