“Very tasteful and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

By a stroke of luck we chose to stay at the Quogue club as our base in the Hamptons. What a Superb hotel. Decor is new and very Hamptons style, staff were very friendly and knowledgable and the food was great. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We stayed in the Webster three-bedroom cottage this weekend. There were six of us - grandmother, parents, and 18 and 9 year old cousins. We could not have been more comfortable. The entire property is simply beautiful inside and out. The cottage had everything we needed and is beautifully appointed. The main house is gorgeous. The staff could not have been more friendly, accommodating and charming. Arrangements were made to take the grandmother to the airport; air beds were provided to help with our specific sleeping needs. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the linens are fantastic. The breakfasts were terrific. We also ate in the Club dining room which was great, if pricey. There is a perfectly great fitness room with equipment; a playroom with foosball and other activities including a huge tv. Bikes were available for a nice long ride today in the sunshine. Since it's winter, we really loved the fireplaces in the main house. I truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay. We all hope to return very soon!

Room Tip: We stayed in the 3-bedroom cottage. There is also a 1-bedroom cottage. I also looked at the king, qu...

The Quogue Club has that "just finished" feel. You can almost smell the new paint - that's how recent the renovation and re-launch is. The overall effect is good - very comfortable with high-end finishes, though there's something perhaps sterile overall, as if the true character of the place will only emerge after a few years. Our room (a double) was lovely - small, but nicely furnished with luxurious bed linens and towels.

Service is generally very good. The older, more senior staff are especially welcoming and helpful. The younger staff in the restaurant need a little more training, but we had no real problems. The complimentary breakfast on Saturday and Sunday is good, though the self-serve options the rest of the week are a little too basic for a place like this.

Free bicycles are available, but not for children. Complimentary beach towels and permits for the beach are also provided. Other than breakfast, we didn't eat in the restaurant, though we did have evening drinks in the bar where the staff were friendly and efficient.

There are so few luxury hotels in the hamptons and nearly impossible to find 1 night on a weekend...but somehow searching luxury this came up and I recognized the designer's name (Alexa Hampton) from Architectural Digest...so i called and yes they had a room for that night..a double..a little crowded for 2 adults and 2 16 year olds but we made it work for 1 night...the place has been completey gutted and redone...i stayed there once before years ago and it was nothing like it is now...Alexa Hampton is the best of the best...absolute gorgeous beauty everywhere you turn...this place should soon be in the Amex FH&R plan..but first.they need to tweak a few things like maybe offering a champagne upon arrival...tea/cookies or a wine/cheese hour and having toiletries like a toothbrush for those who forget...the place is absolutely gorgeous.food oustanding, really really outstanding....beds amazing, sheets/towels/everything absolutely done to perfection in the really quaint special like hideaway gem called Quogue...we loved it and would visit again! take a bike ride and you must enjoy the lily pond in town along with the tiny bakery!

Room Tip: the double was small but gorgeous

If one stayed at the previous incarnation of this property you will be agape at the beauty of the renovation. The level of finish on the workmanship, the selection of material, interior design and decoration are all of superior quality. The gym is commodious and has an extensive selection of machines and free weights. The restaurant is excellent. The chef is talented and dishes are equal to many high end NYC restaurants. Self serve continental breakfast on weekdays and full service sit down breakfast on week ends are included. Here in lies the problem. Service is lacking; 30 minutes to get some one to refill the luke-warm coffee urn and sit down menu indicates toast and fruit bowl with all dishes which never arrived and had to be requested. Tables were never bussed even though many staff walked by. Stacked dirty plates never acknowledged even when delayed fruit was delivered. The quality and cost of staying at this property requires a more trained staff. Will definitely return with hope of improved service.

Our family stayed in part of the large cottage which they were very nice to divide in half for us. We were very comfortable. Everything was new, tasteful and good quality
The well equiped gym was great for the muscular side of the family, and the sitting rooms were perfect for those that needed to doodle. There is also a big playroom for children with board games and tv.
The back patio that no one used for some reason was quiet and peaceful, outside from the bar and restaurant so we could have drinks and the children could run around.
A full breakfast with table service was included with the room.
Beach passes and easy delicious dining made for the perfect weekend.
Everyone was super friendly and helpful. It was top tier. Thank you Quogue Club.

We loved the Quogue Club! It was a perfect place to stay while visiting friends in the Hamptons. Much better than trying to find a temporary rental house for a weekend or staying in a B&B. It has been beautifully renovated and looks brand new. We had a double bedded room, it was small but lovely and had it's own bathroom. They serve a complimentary continental breakfast in the morning and you can use their bicycles to ride around town. The club has a gym and kids playroom downstairs with a Nintendo Wii and some other kid friendly games. They also offered us a beach pass each morning.
It is a calm, quiet place to stay with beautiful beachy but contemporary decor. The staff was super friendly and we never encountered any of the snotty attitudes that can sometimes be a problem in the hamptons. We really enjoyed our short stay here and can't wait to return.
