We stayed 1 night in a very basic no frills room, at this older hotel. Our room was tidy, & the bedding & bath were clean.
However, the light between the beds did not work, and the wall plate cover was missing behind the head of the bed. Wall paper was coming loose & buckled above the desk wall, and the old torn desk chair was uninviting. A dresser mirror, across from the bath vanity was hung very low, (To about waist high) we thought it may be covering a hole in the wall?
We stayed 1st room on the end, 2nd level, in back, towards freeway. There was standing water on the roof section, below the wall to our room, which would be above the eating area below. With no pool & sparce continental breakfast, we thought it a tad overpriced. The hotel is close to a Tourist area, and probably the excuse. This is not America's best hotel, but a little less then average. We were traveling on a working vacation, and had to stay an extra night, in the area. We made arrangements in advance. I hadn't read any reviews beforehand.

I had to make a quick trip Upstate and was on a budget so I decided to give Americas Best a chance. Check-in was smooth and fast, my room was quite large with two double beds and the location is incredibly convenient (right off exit 18 on I-87). The property is safe, secure and very clean with the live-in owner/managers very responsive to the few request that I had made. Make no mistake, this is not the Ritz Carlton and the room amenities are minimal but there is free WiFi and continental breakfast, there is a great restaurant less than 100 yards away (Carl R's), the Aviation Mall is one exit farther (19) and the City of Glens Falls is less than a mile away. I liked this property both for its value and the way it is operated--I would recommend this Americas Best Inn to all of my fellow travelers!

The hotel staff was very friendly and cooperative. Parking was suffice. Rooms could be much cleaner and updated. Hotel is in a good location and easy access to main highway. Very close to Lake George and other surrounding attractions. Good and safe family owned hotel.

This is a quant little hotel. The room was clean and I loved the super fluffy pillows. I didn't expect any amenities but the room came with a refrigerator,
Microwave and coffeemaker, which was wonderful because I love coffee! Considering how inexpensive the room was this was a nice place to stay! This family owned hotel is a comfortable place to stay. And the whole staff is friendly and accomidating. I would stay here again!
