My husband and I first stayed at this hotel in May 2002, though the staff was a little too unfriendly at that time, we thought she just might be having a bad day, but since the hotel was really clean, and the location was very good to our destination areas, and the price was very reasonable, we just didn't mind. The biggest mistake we made was booking again in October 2002 as midway stop to vermont. When we arrived late at night, we were told by the same very rude staff that our reservation was not until the next day. She asked if we called in to confirm our reservation, and we explained to her that we changed our reservation thru yahoo travel and that it didn't say there that we have to call the hotel itself to confirm, since it has already been confirmed electronically. Unfortunately we didn't think of printing the confirmation of changed date reservation. She just insisted she doesn't have us on the reservation list for that day, but that we're lucky she had a couple of available rooms to give us, as if she's doing us a favor. We were disappointed to find that the place isn't as clean as we found it in May of the same year. This time, it was in a very bad condition, the bathroom was just indescribably dirty. We love the area still and are planning to spend some time there this summer, but will never again stay at that Best Inn hotel, Never again.
