“Local Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

What an amazing place to experience a movie and a discussion afterward. We went to see Steve Guttenberg and the movie Diner. The small space and comfortable setting made for a great visit.

“A Real Treat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

Although it's a half hour away, we make a point to visit JBFC on a regular basis because they always have special films and programs not available elsewhere and it's a great organization that's worth supporting for the community at large. The facility is beautifully designed and maintained and there are a number of nearby dining choices that complete a fun evening out of the ordinary.

“Great Local Theater”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

just saw : The Company They Keep there last night. We're members, so our tickets only cost $6 each. A great bargain! And membership supports their community/theater arts programs.

“A Little NYC in Suburbia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

If you miss the city and it's cinematic choices, this is a spot for you.
Brilliantly curated with lots of special themes and events, it brings culture to Westchester County where it's badly needed. The Media Arts Center offers unique classes for affectionnatos of film (kids and adults) in a green certified building. It's also great for special events.

“A Great Arts Theater”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

It is an unusual theater in these days of multi-plexes. Jacob Burns shows the "artsie" films, but they select very well and you rarely get a loser here. They have three theaters going all the time. They do show some current wide-released films, but mostly it is independent stuff. They have live events also with actors and directors presenting material.
