“Yeehaw! Carnivores' galore!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

Easter Friday, 6 pm, it took a short 10 minutes to be seated. The waitresses were super helpful and friendly refilling our glasses without having been asked. My son was darn happy with the country music and peanuts everywhere. The two mini burgers delighted him immensely. Our steaks were scrumptuous and the bread absolutely mouth watering. Their margaritas are even bigger than Carlos & Pepes in Montreal. Next time, I won't eat so many peanuts and maybe, will be able to finish my meal! It's loud and country proud. Has a festive ambiance and is affordable.

“Gotta eat here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

We went to Plattsburgh for a shopping weekend and were looking forward to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse. This was our second time eating here, and won't be the last. Very friendly service (thanks Nic) and awesome prime rib roast. If you're looking for a quiet romantic place, go somewhere else, but if you want a good time, great food, and a lively atmosphere, this is the place. Can't wait to go back.

“Huge portions, great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

We're from Monteal so whenever you can have a steak dinner for two with drinks for under 80$ tax and tip included.... I have to say something about it!

We've been to this particular location three times and the one in St-Louis Missouri once. Each time we had a very good experience. The wait staff is very friendly and very efficient. Sure if you go on a Saturday night you might end up waiting a bit.... because it's a great value and everybody knows it!

I always take the bone in rib steak (at least 20 ounces) and my wife takes the Dallas fillet (at least 10 ounces) . Both are under 25$ but are pretty much equivalent to what you would get in a decent steak house in Montreal for a bout 35$ and up. There are plenty of choices for your side dishes, the loaded baked potato is HUGE and I highly recommend it! The staff bring you warm freshly baked rolls with cinnamon butter alomost as soon as you sit down. Drinks are very reasonably priced. A pint of Bud is about 3$. I've never looked at the wine list so I cant comment there. Also we're usually too full for desert.

It's usually a little bit loud so if your looking for a quiet night out it might not be for you but I suggest you put up with it! It's my favorte place to eat in Plattsburgh.

The ONLY downside.... the restaurant gives free peanuts on every table unfortunately there is peanut dust everywhere. I have not been in a couple of months but anyone with allergies to peanuts should check with the restaurant before going.
