“good burgers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We had dinner on the terrace outside. They even had good vegetarian choices, served with sweet potato fries.

“Good food”

A really good tex mex restaurant. You get A LOT of food for your money. We had to take some food back to Simpler Times Cabins (also amazing) to eat later outside under the stars.

“Limited Options”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Sportsman's shares a kitchen with it's adjacent sister restaurant, Brio's. Both have outdoor seating. Sportsman's is a better bar than resaurant. It has been in the same location for well over a decade and not put a dime into decor. After a day of hiking or tubing - both popular in the Catskills a cold beer on the deck is welcomed. There are some large tables so groups can be comfortable. If you are looking for decent Tex-Mex fare you will be disappointed. I have been to Sportsman's a few times as I have releatives in the area. The kitchen has ups and downs. The problem is that up is not that high. Service suffers the same fate. The menu should be trimmed by half so that quality has a shot at improving. Think an expensive Taco Bell but lacking the consistency and seasoning.

“Food was great, wait staff was sloww”

We stopped here the next night after having a great meal at Brio's. The food was delicious again however the waitress never did come back to check on us after we were served.
