Our first trip to the new location of the Peekskill Brewery was on Valentine's Day 2013. Although neither my wife nor I are beer drinkers (so you have to check with beer fans about their beers, brewing, etc.) we greatly enjoyed the evening. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor accessible by an elevator ride or stairway. The new layout is spacious although I did ask for a different table - the first one was along a row of tables that shared a bench seat so your neighbors are very nearby. The specialty drinks were good although I hope they continue to add to their choices. We both enjoyed a chowder for an appetizer, although it really was a mussels soup with a chowdery broth. For our entree we chose a steak sandwich and the house burger. Each seemed to have been meticulously prepared - an important factor. They were very tasty along with the fries that were far above the standard fare of most restaurants. All in all, everything was very finely prepared and a cut above what one might expect in an establishment that specializes in beer creation. The dessert menu did not spark our interest at all. Our tab for two people, no dessert was $70 plus tip. We hope to return very soon to further sample the menu.
