We stay at Palmyra Inn each time we visit our family in the area. We are impressed with the courtesy of the staff and the cleanliness of all the facilities. The inn is extremely reasonable in price and can not be surpassed in quality. The complimentary breakfasts are always a treat to enjoy.

Room Tip: It is hard to get room you won't like.

We brought our family to vist the church history sites. Great place to stay, no complaints at all. If you look on the website, they have a great map locating where the hotel is in proximiy to all of the sites. Walking distance to the temple, but we drove to everything else. We thought it was a good variety for breakfast, front destk was very accommodating and cleaning staff was pleasant. We would stay here again.

The manager was flexible and kind. When our neighbors were rowdy, he moved us as far away as possible, in a better room for the same price. Proximity to LDS Church history sites, as well as the temple and the local LDS congregation, was great - very little driving to any of the major sites. We didn't watch any movies while we were there but there was a wide selection of movies to rent for I think $1.
The price was better than the Motel 8 we stayed at the night before.
Can't say anything about the room service since we requested none. We also didn't make it to the pool despite wanting to.

The location of this hotel for what we wanted to do in the area was great. We booked a room with one bed and got a family room and there was a rollaway bed in there as well with a note saying 'complementary, no charge'!!!! There was only the 2 of us (mother and daughter), so we put that into the hallway and informed the front desk. The room was spacious and the bathroom clean and adequate. We were disappointed to find take away food in the fridge, obviously left over from previous occupants and also in the microwave. We informed the front desk and they made a note to house keeping regarding the matter. Also the blinds were broken and so they didn't completely close. We managed to work something out so we could have privacy. I mentioned this to the front desk as well and was told they are in the process of replacing the blinds.

Breakfast was adequate, lots of carbs, but there was a reasonable choice of pastries etc.

Over all, it is a lovely place to stay, it is quiet and friendly ... yes you can hear people in the hallway, but then we've encountered this in most other hotels. We enjoyed our stay overall.

This was a splurge for us, and our trip certainly went well and was enjoyable. The room was very clean and well-equipped, but there were a few things that disappointed us.
The first was breakfast; for the price range of the hotel, it seemed skimpy. They had a good quantity of breaded goods, but nothing that seemed really appealing or healthy, and not many other food groups represented besides milk and oj. There were a few hard-boiled eggs with ice on them and some yogurt, but no fruit at all our first morning, just a couple pretty tiers of totally empty bowls. So it didn't seem to live up to the "deluxe" advertising.
The other disappointment was the walking distance claim. It wasn't all that far to the Sacred Grove, certainly walkable for most adults, but I wouldn't have set out on the hike with the kids in tow if I had known it wasn't in easy sight from the hotel. We hauled them there and back, along roads with no sidewalks, and then of course you'll be hiking/walking through the grove. Ours are a little older and good sports, but it was farther than I might have expected from the way the website touted it.
Otherwise, it was friendly and comfortable, about what we've experienced at other places.

The location of the hotel is great. Really close to all historical sites. The lobby and the ourside of the hotel is really nice. But that's about all positive I can say. We were in one of the two bed room suites and the whole room was outdates. The kitchen was dirty. The fridge still had bread crumps on top of it from the previouse visitors. The bed sheets didn't fit and were dirty. The sleeping couch was everything else than comfortable. We still found items which belonged to previouse visitors. The breakfast was okay but lost on quality compared to our last visit 4 years ago. We were able to hear the people in the rooms around us like quite a lot which wasn't pleasent with small children. Overall I would recommend to stay in another hotel in Rochester if you are okay with driving 30 minutes to Palmyra.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Palmyra Inn. We have a large family, so we stayed in one of the two bedroom suites. It was very spacious and comfortable for all of us. The room was clean and the cleaning staff made sure to keep it that way. The continental breakfast each morning was a wonderful way for our family to start each morning. I used the exercise room once while we were there and everything seemed to be in working order. The gift shop was nice, but a little pricey. The front office staff was able to make some recommendations on local places to eat, since we try to eat local when we travel. Overall an excellent experience. We will be staying here again when we come to the Palmyra area.

Room Tip: If you have a larger family, ask for one of the two bedroom suites, very spacious.
