Owego was just what I was looking for-quiet, relaxed and friendly. I was there this summer kayaking on the Susquehanna River and went on thr Tioga County River Paddle. 120 kayaks & canoes. Great River fun, afterwards we walked around the quaint little village with nice shops and had dinner at a place called O'Hara's where a Tom O'Hara has a bar/restaurant with himself as the star attraction. He's a one man comedy club-and the food was good. My lady friend from Ithaca wants to meet there all the time now.( She likes the shopping!)
