I've visited this restaurant in prior years and was looking forward to warm, fresh bread and great soup, but was extemely disappointed. The bread was not the soft, warm bread I remember and it did not seem homemade. The rolls were dry, pulpy wheat. The salad was iceberg lettuce with a few tomato wedges, green pepper slices, red onion rings and OLD baby carrots - they tasted bad and were just thrown in whole; not sliced. The soup - chicken rice - tasted okay, but smelled remarkably like Lipton Cup-A-Soup. I felt like we were getting the last food they had before closing up for the season, although I don't know when they actually close. I ate half the Broiled Seafood Platter: 6 oz. Lobster Tail (looked like 4) was very good, scallops very good, shrimp was tough and haddock unappealing. Our waitress was very friendly. The bells on the front door rang every 30 seconds throughout the meal and became annoying. This means, of course, they were busy, so no need to really have a bell when you have a hostess at the ready - they could save it for slower times. I was still hungry from not eating most of the food, so I ordered dessert - a first - cheesecake that was surprisingly tasteless. We felt the meal was very overpriced. We will not return.
