I have to start by saying I went during the weekend of the springfest. This was my first time there and I was testing the restaurant out for a possible location for an upcoming baby function. So I had reservations for eight. I got a call from my friend to tell me they had the street fair today and to head down earlier to get parking. Traffic was bad. We get there and the line is out the door. Being my first time I asked others if you had to skip the line if you had a reservation and they all said no. Everyone had reservations and we still had a line. ( I found this shocking) after ten minutes my son had to go potty. I begged to get thru the line just to use the bathroom. People thought I was trying to get to the front. Everyone was tired of waiting. Luckily they saw my son was in need of a pot and let me go. When I left Te restroom i had to go back to the end of the line. Fifteen minutes later I was at the host desk with three or four other groups hearing how horrible this host was. I saw an empty table infant of me, told the man my name and he still had us waiting. I saw on his paper my reservation....he walked away came back...seated two groups behind me. Then he comes back and tells me to follow him. The table was right behind him, I had been staring at it for a half an hour almost. So I was ticked off, I had to go to the bar to get the requested children's seat (our table had six chairs for a party of eight) . After getting wait staff to bring chairs we end up asking a gentleman whom was serving another table if we had to go somewhere to get drinks or how the whole thing worked. Five minutes later we got water and mimosas...no one told us what was offered for drinks or how to get our food etc. I literally just walked to the bar and asked, if we just had to go and help ourselves etc? ...the guy said yes it is a buffet you just sit down and help yourself. Food was decent...nothing to rave about but nothing horrible. No one ever filled our water glasses. We asked three times for refills on mimosas....eventually did get them. Really poor service. We won't be going there for our family events. Infant my husband doesn't ever want to go back. I am willing to give them one more try...but honestly If it was anything like this time, I would leave before it even ended. In the end we felt rushed and mobbed. Loud and unfriendly atmosphere. I can go down the way to congers and pay slightly more for better brunch and more importantly better service at restaurant x in congers. Brunch was $20 , it's more if your party is bigger I believe $26. Gratuity is added to all brunch parties even tables for two. Food : penne in pesto, rigatoni in vodka sauce, eggs Benedict, pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, salad, antipasti, mozzarella, salads, chicken marsala, rice pilaf, asparagus, ham, beef, white fish (unsure as to what it was...heavier then tilapia but not as heavy as sole...) , ziti, chicken parm, bagels, smoked salmon, rice pudding, tiramisu, carrot cake, cheesecake, pecan pie, choc cake, pineapple, canoli, melon, blackberries, Oreo cake.
None of the food had labels either.
