Umee has been making Sushi and other delectible Japanese dishes in Nyack for 27 years. His restaurant up the hill from his current location was the first place we took our newborn Annie 3 days home from the hospital and his newer restaurant the first place we take my grown-up daughter when she comes home for a visit. I never miss a chance to eat the heavenly egg plant appetizer, buttery sweet and delicious grilled in a tasty tangy hoison sauce.
