“Simply amazing!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

Everything about the villas is amazing and perfect. The view is breath taking and spectaular! Make sure to watch the sun set one night over the volcano. Fira is close by a cheap cab fare. There is nothing bad I can say. On a six week trip of europe this was the best place we stayed.

We stayed five nights in one of the Villas and loved it. Spectacular view, great accommodation, and great assistance and advice from our Concierge, Niko. The private pool was lovely. The villa was adjacent to the main hotel, which provided excellent breakfasts with good service.

Words cannot describe the amazing views from the terraces. Sunset, sunrise just beautiful The rooms were comfortable. The beds are large. Plenty of room to chill inside and out. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. We were well taken care of by Nick the manager. His passion for the island is infectious So helpful in every way. Nothing too much trouble. His recommendations were all spot on.
The villas are made for relaxation, a pleasure haven. Cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are not sure - just do it!!

We initially booked the Petit Palace Honeymoon suite with private pool but upon arrival we were told the room had electrical issues and that they would put us up in there sister location 300 meters down the road in a VIP villa and if we wanted to move the next day we could. Neither of us were interested in moving so we said we would stay put. This is before we arrived at the villa to find that one of the rooms (the larger one) had cracking walls and damp so we couldn't use it. We were a little suspicious that they were just trying to shift us so they could rebook the suite. The villa manager Nico was fantastic and took care of our every need. He ensured we could send an extra piece of luggage by courier to Mykonos so we did have to take it all on the yacht we were sailing on for 7 days. He also organized for our hire car to be picked up from the villas and drove us to the port (very remote one) to meet our boat. The stay at the volcano view was excellent and would recommend it based on the service. It was about a 20 min walk into Fira however we choose to have a rental car so we were always mobile. It meant during our 4 day stay we pretty much covered the island. The view of the Caldera was an amazing way to start every day. Some of the restaurant recommendations were average and we had more fun finding our own favorites. I had heard from friends that 1-2 days was not enough time to explore the island and totally agree. In fact I would have enjoyed a 5th day just to relax.....if you get the chance to visit the Katina fish tavern for lunch at the bay of Amoudi, you won't be disappointed.

This is our second stay at the VVV, the first - which left us breathless with longing - was 6 years ago. We returned with our - now grown - 3 boys and our parents. we stayed at the Aphrodite suite for 5 people and our parents stayed at the Artemis. The place is stunning, the view phenomenal, and Niko the manager is an angel placed on earth to fulfill your wishes. every single one of his recommendations was spot on. He got us seats at the best tavernas, the best sunset cruise possible, and recommended the best places to visit.
The villa's inside decor was upgraded since our first visit. We were actually sorry to see the new designer furniture and fixtures, we liked the simple decor of last time even better, but some of the new features are an improvement - the deck sets are great and the Aphrodite suite has an outdoor hot tub on top of an inside huge Jacuzzi. The decor motif of the Villa Artemis is honeymoon suite . The Aphrodite is more subdued which we preferred.
breakfast at the hotel was plentiful though unremarkable, and the hotel restaurant is not for use unless you are stuck.
We took a rental car though one can manage with the hotel shuttle.
Our parents, in their 70's , had a little trouble managing the steep stairs to the villas. However, all of the villages lining the caldera are steep and cobble-stones, so if this is an issue, rethink Santorini as a destination.
We loved the villas, and are already dreaming of our next visit. When you are there, give a big hug from us to Niko.

The manager should change his name to Zeus. He was god like. He got us a driver and even drove us around. What a guy. We had our own private pool. The bkfast was great. He even gave us a bottle of wine. We even met his kids. I can't say any more good things. Best vacation of my life.

We stayed at Villa artemis for 2 nights and the stay was really perfect. The villa itself is two floored with living room and a balcony on top floor and bedroom with huge bath downstairs. It has a big pool and a huge whirlpool outside. Bathroom is huge and has another Jacuzzi in it with separate multi-shower bath area. Villa is elegantly designed and the interior design is really awesome. The Villa manager Nikos, as quoted by almost all travelers, is very helpful and take special care about his guests. He certainly gave nice suggestions about what to do on the touristy island and about the restaurants etc. We certainly benefited by following his advice. He made sure that the rooms, pool and whirlpool are maintained clean. The breakfast was very good and Nikos asked us about our choices. It was delivered right on pre-decided time without asking for it again. The sunset was gorgeous from the whirlpool and balcony. We were picked up from the port and dropped to the airport. I requested Nikos about some special decorations as the stay was special for us and he took care of it to the extreme. Thanks Nikos... Nikos also gave us a laptop for personal use. The rooms are perfectly air-conditioned, which is a necessity considering scorching temperature outside. I can go on praising about the place and the hospitality but I should stop now :) In the end I just wanted to add, as Nikos said, people who visit Santorini for less than 3 days, have to visit again... so true... and we are going to rent the same villa again in our next trip :)
