“Wonderful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

We spent five nights in a beautiful and comfortable apartment on the edge of the mountain, with a marvelous view of the bay. The apartment was designed in a very tasteful manner, well decorated, large and comfortable. The bedroom was 56 sq mtrs (560 sq feet) with a large and firm yet satisfying bed. The room was so large my daughter practiced ballet there! The living room was even larger - 70+ sq meters (700 sq feet) with fifteen foot ceilings, and well decorated. The air conditioning unit was very effective and quiet. The staff were all very helpful. We had breakfast every morning on a patio/balcony overlooking the bay (often with three or more cruise ships present). Breakfast was very good.
Our unit was one of three that opened into a small courtyard covered with a large grape vine with lots of clinging grapes. Just above was a small rooftop patio with a good view, where my daughter and I would at night to read Harry Potter and smoke a cigar!
To appreciate it a bit more, see the pictures I have attached.

Room Tip: Try to get room with the grape patio

We stayed at this hotel 7/13/13 to 7/18/13. The rooms were spacious, clean, and elegant. The location was perfect being at the southern end of the chain of restaurants and gift shops. They provided a free breakfast that was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 4 nights in a senior suite in July, the entire stay was excellent, from the airport transfer to the final breakfast on the balcony.

The staff were friendly and attentive, as soon as we arrived they greeted us with a glass of local wine and told us about the local attractions.

The room was basic but beautiful, bed comfortable and considering the central location, very quiet.

The view from our balcony was worth a million dollars.

The jacuzzi overlooking the water was a real bonus. Breakfast on the balcony was included with our room and is the best way to start the day.

We absolutely lived our time here and would definitely love to stay here again.

I spent three memorable nights in this hotel (suite). Excellent breathtaking view at sunrise and sun set. Million $ view to die for, run under watchful eyes of owner, Manager and always ready to help staff. Having breakfast at the balcony looking out at the tranquil caldera is something special indeed. Hotel is spotlessly clean, timely services and an welcoming attitude of all staff. Fira town is very close by. I hope to be back here someday in the future.

We strongly recommend this place to anyone. I know you will all have a pleasant stay here.

Just be aware that the hotel (like most in this area) doesn't have direct access by car but parking close by is available and staff ready to assist.

Room Tip: Suites have caldera view.

Good location, steps away excellent from the center. Excellent service, rooms are clean and spacious. Be aware that if you take the courtyard view room you will have to step out on your terrace to see the ocean.

My english is not good enough to describe all the qualities of this exceptional Hotel on this wonderful Island.
The hotel offers the most beautiful view to the Caldera and to Fira too. A postcard Idyll at day and at night. You can enjoy the view and the service from breakfast to sunset.
The Service is very good, the stuff absolutely friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is insetted in the native buildings and partly in holes with a lot of feeling for culture and the existing development. There are some gentle pieces of art, created from the hotel manager and his brother.

We absolutely loved this place. It' just a five minute walk from the center of town and all the restaurants but it felt a little quieter and more peaceful. The rooms are lovingly decorated in a charming, authentic, but elegant Grecian style and we LOVED our private hot tub overlooking the ocean. There's no swimming pool but several rooms have private hot tubs out on the decks. Some rooms also have decks with lounge chairs whereas others only have space for deck chairs. There is a variety in terms of the size of the rooms and outdoor space and what you get, so I would ask about the specifics before picking something. The service was also excellent and there's a lovely little cafe and the views are just stunning. The only negative things I can think of are the beds were a little hard and the breakfasts were hardy but not as tasty as other breakfast buffets, however these things don't bother me much. Overall I highly recommend Cori Rigas!
