“Excellence in service and accomodations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

We travelled for three weeks in Europe and Santorini was our last stop and thank goodness. It was the most relaxing, most breathtaking, and enjoyable stay me and my new fiance experianced (which included good hotels in Paris, Switzerland, and Italy). Before arriving, we had very good communication via e-mail with the hotel confirming our arrival and arranging the taxi pickup. Upon arrival, service took our bags to our hotel room while we had a short conversation with the front desk. They walked us down to the room and opened our shutters to the most amazing view I've seen since meeting my future wife and until my first born. Seriously, it was great. The accomodations were matched by the service when at breakfast, the owner brought out three course meal of all hand-made, self-grown, fresh-squeezed dishes topped off by a dessert with chocolate made in-house. All delicious and included in the price of the room. Any information we needed was given immediately or sooner. When we arrived I forgot to ask for the wi-fi password and when I called the front desk they answered with the password - i mean "hello, the password is ....." wow. It was an incredible stay. we enjoyed it all, the whirlpool overlooking the bay to the secret room service (each time we had the course breakfast we came back to a cleaned room). I don't know if it'll always be like this but if you're reading this around the time I posted it - BOOK THE ROOM. Second best choice I made the whole trip - after proposing in Paris.

“Fantastic stay at Villa Renos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

It really is as good as everybody says. We had an incredible 7 day stay and the view from our balcony was amazing. Although we went out every morning after a substantial and delicious breakfast cooked by Zina we couldn't wait to get back in the afternoon to sit on our balcony until sunset every evening. We would highly recommend staying at this small friendly hotel.

Room Tip: Room 103 is great and has a hot tub on the balcony.

“It's like being in a postcard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

What can I say that hasn’t been said? It is true the location is perfect, not too many steps but enough to still retain the caldera experience, fantastic service and wonderful accommodation with each room feeling unique, breakfast being a culinary delight of which I have never before encountered but all this has already been described much better than I could ever do.

What hasn’t been mentioned, at least not recently, is Villa Reno as a wedding destination. What was to be the beginning of a European holiday also became the setting for my daughter’s wedding. Although we had planned the ‘big wedding’ my daughter and her partner decided they would rather have a more relaxed personal ceremony and decided on Santorini so our holiday also became the setting for their wedding. Our original holiday booking for a group of 6 grew to 11 with 9 of us staying at Villa Reno. This initiated many questions through emails to Vassilis who managed everything beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble, he just kept saying ‘leave it to me I have done this many times’ and for a control freak like me that was very difficult to do as I had no idea what was happening.

Vassilis, Zina and Petros organised everything, the setting, the photographer, the Mayor for the service, bouquet and flowers, the cake and champagne and even arranged and booked the restaurant for dinner. The day was stunning and yes, Vassilis did know best.

The ceremony was everything my daughter and her partner wanted. It was a wonderful day with nothing to do but relax and enjoy the experience. The day unfolded as a fairytale should ending with the wedding ceremony at sunset.

No place is ever perfect, there is always something that could better meet each person’s personal preferences but this is as close as I have ever come. A big thank you to Vasilis, Zina, Petros and all the staff for making the wedding and our holiday so special.

Room Tip: All rooms are wonderful but if stairs are a problem ask for a higher room.

Incredible location. Stunning views from our room. Amazing service with mouth-watering homemade breakfast. This family-owned hotel will leave you wanting for nothing. We would go back (and plan to) in a heartbeat.

“The view was perfect from our balcony and the service was outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

The Villa Renos was a perfect choice. We loved it from the first minute! The room was spacious and from our own balcony we had this picture perfect view of the Caldera. There was no need to leave the hotel because of that view. We stayed 2 nights and were treated very very friendly from the family who runs the place. One special thing of the room: The lights of the room are really strong and you can actually see and find your things when it gets dark in contrast to many standard hotel rooms nowadays where there is no main light on the ceiling and the room is lit by some flimsy desk ligths etc. Not at the Villa Renos. The beds were soft and we slept very well. Right in front of the hotel is the excellent " Archipelagos Restaurant" where we ate twice. The breakfast of Vila Renos was also great. Overall a perfect place!
