I stayed at Mystique in May for four nights during a trip to Greece. I now have that view of the ocean and cliffs sketched into my mind. Waking up to that view every morning from the window of my suite is what makes the Mystique unique. From the time we were picked up at the airport to getting dropped off the service was amazing. I found the service at Mystique to be different from other hotels which I have stayed in. The staff seemed to be proud to work at Mystique and wanted to make sure your experience exceeded expectations. The staff seemed to be seasonal and locals. I was very concerned with reading online reviews regarding poor service at Mystique. Also I don’t think the placement and rating of Mystique is accurate on Tripadivor.com. The staff seemed to interact on a personal level during our stay. I have not experienced that at any other Starwood hotel.

The check-in process was unusual and not what I am used to. We were able to pick out a suite from a few available options. We also received an upgrade due to SPG Platinum status. The upgraded suite was not available for a few hours but the staff allowed us to use another suite for a few hours. We stayed in suite 11 during our stay. Suite is on the main level behind the pool. There was an awesome sun bed on the patio. The suite has a hot tub inside the bath room. The hot tub is built into the walls of the suite. It’s basically a cave. Hot tub did take a few hours to heat up. Again never experienced anything like that before. Having a hot tub in your suite is perfect for a honeymoon couple!! Mystique is so exclusive. Don’t be surprised if you see celebrity stars sitting around the pool. We didn’t find guests from other resorts using the pool or have to reserve a pool chair and umbrella at 7am in the morning. In fact we hardly saw the other guest. It was so quiet.

The restaurant at Mystique is also amazing. Guests fly in with helicopter from other islands to come dine at the restaurant at Mystique. Also the tables sit right on the edge of the cliffs. The Greek salad and lobster spaghetti was amazing. Wine cave is a nice touch. We never ate in the wine cave or did any wine paring. However Mystique does have a good selection of wine to choose from. Also the breakfast is very good. There is also a bar open in the evening next to the pool and restaurant. The bar tender made some of the most amazing cocktails. You really don’t need to leave the resort the entire time. However we did drive around Santorini for one day. The hotel staff helped with the car reservation. Another really cool option to use while staying at Mystique was the iPhone app. I could request room service and communicate with the hotel staff via the application. Using an iPhone app to communicate with hotel staff was a first for me. What a wonderful idea. iPhone app worked really well. Mystique is a few minutes’ walk to the local town called Oia. Oia has loads of boutiques, restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend going to the Lama wine store to buy some local wine or beer. Lama wine store one block before you go down the stairs to Mystique. We purchased a few bottles or wine and drank them in the evening while watching the sun go down over the volcano. Mystique was not cheap. Mystique is also rated a level seven in the luxury collection under Starwood. Thanks Vicky and team for a wonderful and relaxing few days and spoiling us.

We were picked up at the airport for transfer to the Mystique Hotel (transfer is included in room price) The hotel is on the side of a hill with about 20 steps down. The two bellmen carried all of our bags to our room on their backs and with a smile on their faces! We were impressed!
Our room and every room for that matter has a spectacular view of the sea!
The staff was delightful...they definitely spoiled us through our 3 night stay. We enjoyed the restaurant for two wonderful dinners and a hearty breakfast every morning. Our complements to the chef and restaurant staff...also the bartender makes a great Bloody Mary!
They have a lovely spa, where we had a massage and my thanks to Balu for a relaxing time!
We would recommend this hotel to our family and friends!

Mystique has very unique location on the island. Walking distant to the market and close to the feature churches. Every room has an unlimited view from its windows. Cave suites are great and specially designed with tastes. It is exactly as clean and new as what you see from their website!

We had our private wedding ceremony at the hotel. From reservation to making arranging for the cake and photographer, the reception staff are very helpful and provided everything we asked for in a professional manner!

For dinning venue, we first planned to try something in the local neighborhood but then found that it's really not our tastes...so we tried their Charisma restaurant and is quite good and you can enjoy wine tasting in their wine cave or you can enjoy candle light dinner there. I would say it's value for the price, especially to a Luxury Collection hotel.

We loved staying at the Mystique. We were on the final stop of our honeymoon and the staff definitely spoiled us. Anything we asked for they provided us. The two women that worked in the separate office were amazing (I can't remember their names now). The hotel is in walking distance of a great market area and sunset viewing spot. We highly recommend renting some form of transportation (we rented a quad) and seeing the whole island. There are so many beautiful spots on the island. My only disappointment in the hotel was the quality of food in the restaurant for the price. We walked down to the market place after our first meal at the hotel. If you like blander food then you would love the restaurant food, but we liked the much more flavorful food down the street. We love the outdoor hot tubs, but wished we were able to control the temperature of the water, it got a little too cool at night and too warm during the day. Other than those few minor things we loved the hotel!
