“Quite a pleasant experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

The museum is hidden in a narrow street at oia. It doesn't take much time to visit (approximately 20 minutes) and it is worth it. It is a pretty small museum. At the ground floor, there are naval instruments and at the top floor, there are ship models and naval documents and uniforms. It is quite an interesting experience. I should recommend it.

“Do visit here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

This is a great little museum tucked away in a quite back alley of Oia. Try and spend at least an hour here and do go upstairs and look through the fascinating black and white photos not only on the walls but in the flip charts they have mounted in one of the back rooms. Provides an interesting perspective of Santorini particularly before the earthquake of 1956.

“worth a quick stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

it is a tiny little museum but still it is an honest effort.

It is small and can feel a bit sad at times but the whole viewing can be over in less than 20min and i feel that it is truly time well spent. There are plenty of naval as well as general historical memorabilia as well as very interesting pictures of the early 20th Century. Also it shows the amazing evolution of Greek shipping as well as life in the cyclades the last 80 years.

“Worth seeing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

We were glad we took the time to visit the Museum. Down side was that very little was translated into English. Upside is that the display were very nice and the small museum building lovely and worth seeing in itself.
