“Great Value!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2005

My husband and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary in Santorini. After reading many hotel reviews we booked our stay at Chelidonia Villas. We read many wonderful things about the villas, the view and the owners and they were all true. Our villa was neat and clean with a well equiped kitchen and a large bathroom. The view was breathtaking! The owner's of the hotel live in a villa in the caldera and were always available to us. We had a wonderful trip and hope to go back to Santorina to take our daughter. We wouldn't stay anywhere but Chelidonia!

We booked through email exchanges after researching on the internet. It's a true family-owned and run place and our two-bedroom cliff house was amazing. Full kitchen, lovely bathroom, a terrace overlooking the caldera where the sunset was incredible every evening and a location that couldn't be more central.

The hotel is comprised of small charming cliff houses that are carved into the side of the cliff. They are simply but nicely furnished, and they all have wonderful views of the caldera. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Our "large" unit had two small bedrooms with double beds, a living room/dining room with a single day bed, a small kitchen and a terrace with a dining table. It was perfect for a family of four. The hotel does not have a pool, which would have been nice in the hot afternoon weather, but there is no way to have a pool on this hillside. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

My husband and I were sent here by a close friend of Triantafyllos and Erika. It was our first trip to Greece, and our hosts did everything they could to make it magic. Triantafyllos is such a kind and relaxed person, I can only imagine that the negative review a few pages back had a lot more going on than checking out 'an hour late', though even that is thoughtless enough to deserve a reprimand.

We will be returning in a few weeks, and I can't wait. Triantafyllos and Erika went out of their way to accommodate us because we had a friend in common, though after reading these reviews, I think they would go out of their way for anyone.
