The ultimate hotel for a private getaway! Double thumbs up to Eva, Andrea, Pedro, Ivan and the chambermaid (Sorry I forgot her name) for personalized service which rivals the world's best hotels. You all made our stay so beautiful! We both agree that it is even more exclusive than Andronis which we stayed at after Villa Katikies! And the gourmet restaurant at Katikies Hotel is the best! The best value-for-money hotel for our whole trip! We will definitely be back for a longer stay! We love you guys! Keep it up! :)

There are no words to describe Sandorini in general, but it is this hotel, that i will remember for the rest of my life.
It was just stunning, I have to admit its not your usual 5 star, as the layout is different, usually one expects big a/c halls, luxuries sitting areas etc etc, this hotel is different, as its all in the the open and outside, but this is the charm i guess.

Our room was like a cave, which was great and as we were three people staying we were having breakfast downstairs, the setting was superb ( i will add some pictures, as it is too beautiful to explain, you just have to see it)

Staying at villas, we also had access to use facilities of the hotel, which is 2minutes walk from villas, so it was a good combination, if you want more privacy and rest you can stay at the small pool in Villas, if you want to socialize and just use Jacuzzi or the pool in the cave you can do that too.

And there service was also very good, i want to give special thanks to the girls at the reception, especially Eva, they made our stay even more special.

Best part of our 3 week european vacation! Highly recomended! The restaurant at the hotel is considered the best on the island! Book the restaurant with plenty time! Ask the staff for any request they will surely attend to your needs! Frozen lemonade is a must!

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the caldera.

Hotel is great! Staying at Villa Katikies you can use facilities in Katikies hotel. I strongly recommend to stay at Villa Katikies because is smaller hotel with a more private and embracing atmosphere. Breakfast is great. Staff is super friendly and everything works perfectly fine.

After reading hundreds of nice and very exciting reviews in Trip Advisor about the Katikies Hotels Group, our expectations were high. So, let's be honest. The price that you pay is quite high to stay in any of the Katikies Group hotels, so the only thing that you will never expect is a wrong reservation system.

Let's start from the beginning. After weeks researching for a perfect place to stay at Santorini, we found the Katikies Group and the Villa Katikies. Doing cross researches on hot-wire deals, we finally got the Villa Katikes. Was a dream (or not) coming to life.

4 or 5 days before our arrival in Santorini we've sent one email asking for a transfer services, because in Mykonos was hard to get any cab or bus to the hotel, so we've decided to ask and pay for the Hotel Transfer Services… you replied my email? No? Either Villa Katikies.

Arriving at the new port in Santorini we just ran to find a taxi and with lucky we were the first in the queue.

Arriving in the Villa Katikies the staff was nice helping us with the luggages and offering some water (was hot like hell), but we had to wait about 10 minutes for Eva, the Tripadvisor's reviews famous manager of Villa Katikies. Words, here and there she said that she had a problem with the system and we were supposed to arrive in Santorini in the next day, and for that reason, they didn't have any room for us, but offer us a sunset view room with a private jacuzzi in the SUN ROCKS Hotel in Thira (Santorini Town). WHAT!?

We got a transfer to be allocated into the SUN ROCKS Hotel, (Nice hotel by the way) but we paid a LOT of money to get a room in the Villa Katikies in OIA, not a replacement room in Thira.

Check in done, we agreed with Eva that they were supposed to pick up us at 15h (after the lunch) to move back to the Villa. Ok by now.

We enjoyed the Sun Rocks (review will be done here) and when we started to don't worry about the changing, they called us at 12h simply kicked us out the hotel because the check out is at 12h. WHAT? Number 2.

Just a second. We've paid for a whole day and not just to sleep in a other room and be without any place to be between 12h and 14h. No way! My wife freaked out and they called Eva to pick up us immediately and to arrange a room now!

After 30 minutes they came, picked up us and finally we went to Villa Katikies.

Besides all this problems, the hotel is very nice. Beautiful indeed, with a fresh and calm small pool, with good services with some food and drinks.

We got the room 7 with an amazing private balcony. The room is nice and clean. The shower is very good and the comfort was pretty good. You can also use the facilities from the Katikies Hotel with the gorgeous infinity edge pool.

The breakfast is nice. You can choose in the previous day, and book a time (tip: book early to have more options in a time table) and get your stuff in your balcony. Nice service indeed!

The hotel structure is really good, but this problems in the beginning just disrupt our mood.

If I recommend the hotel? Of course I would. Is simply great hotel with a nice staff, nice installations, facilities and services.

If we would come back? Just if we get the reservation 100% guarantee.

PS: improve your physical condition before you go... you will need. There is thousands of stairs, up and down. =)

Room Tip: Room 7 is the only one with a real private balcony. The others are "private" (shared).

i was looking for somewhere to spend 5 days and do nothing but relax. i wanted to be able to sit outside and catch up on some reading for pleasure. that is exactly what i did. every morning breakfast was brought to my terrace and i didn't move again until it was time for dinner. the room was normal size and the bathroom was quiet small, but everything was clean. there was an ipod docking station which was nice so you could listen to music in the room. the staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for non touristy dinner places. i think they were shocked that i didn't want to see the rest of the island, nor did i move from my balcony all week. everything really was picture perfect and quiet here. i cant recommend it enough actually. i know its crazy expensive, but i think it was worth it in the end. the only bad thing i have to say is that on my second to last night they asked me if i would move to another sister hotel in the next town over. i guess they were overbooked and i was the only single on the property so i looked the most likely to go. after some questions i realized they wanted to move me to a hotel a drive away. i was not interest and said no. the reason i choose the villas was because there were only 7 rooms. i wasn't interested in a more expensive upgrade, i wanted to be left alone and not see anyone else. i ended up feeling guilty but it was the right decision for me.
