“Great way to spend a day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

This was a brilliant way to see the Caldera and islands. We had a transfer from just outside our hotel to Amoudi Harbour and then the boat went to Fira, to pick up more passengers, so we had a great view of the sides of the Caldera, before visting the volcanic island, which was well worth while and the guide was brilliant. From there to the hot springs, although we didn't fancy jumping off the boat to swim, and then to Thirassia for a stroll and an ice-cream before sailing back to Oia. Excellent value for money and a very pleasant way to spend 5 or 6 hours.

“Day trip..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We went on a day trip, first we visited the volcano where you could walk up to it. I didn't manage it but my partner did. I went back to the boat and had a nice cold drink.

Next we went to the hot springs, where you could jump off the boat and swim to the springs. After that we went to Therissia for lunch. This was lovely.

When we left there we transferred to a water taxi which took us to Oia for the sunset. We went by donkey up the cliffs to the town, which took my breath away. It is so pretty, with little winding streets, lots of steps and the most fantastic views I have ever seen. With it all being blue and white it made it really special. The sunset was lovely, but if I went again I would go somewhere different to see it, as Oia is THE place for it and everyone goes there, buses full of people, coaches full of people, taxies full of people....you get the idea! All in all a lovely day out.

“Comfortable and Scenic Way to Reach Oia from Fira”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Our group of 12 landed from the cruise ship's tender to Fira. We were planning to take the overhead tram to Fira. Walking towards it, we saw a boat little bit further away. A nice old gentleman on the boat was just waiting there for business. We approached him and he nicely suggested to take us by boat to Oia, via a tour of the nearby islands. He normally charged 20 EUR per person but he agreed to take us 12 for 200 EUR.

Our boat ride was just wonderful. He took us to see the volcanic island where the water is greenish because of sulphur. Another island with a few colorful boats was beautiful. He said if we bring swimming suits, it would be perfect for a swim. He explained that he also take people for fishing. Then he took us to see the Therasia island. It was beautiful viewed from the sea. Finally we landed at the foot of the cliff from Oia. He recommended us to eat at the seafood restaurant there. He also said there is taxi or minibus available if we did not want to walk up the few hundred steps to Oia.

We took his advice and had a wonderful seafood lunch before asking the owner to call a minibus.

We all agreed that it was a much better way to see Oia and Santorini than taking the tram up to Fira and then taking a bus to Oia.

Instead, we had a leisurely boat cruise, close to the water and sound of the islands and had nice photos of the cliff-top houses from that perspective. After we spent time in Oia, we took the public bus to Fira, and after Oia, Fira is pretty much optional. We then took the tram down to the water front to take the tender to the cruise ship.

“santorini off island trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We end up going to the red beach, and to the old port. From there, we took a ferry to the volcano and swam in the sulfur filled hot spring. Wonderful vacation.

“Santorini Sailing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We were collected from Ammoudi right on time by Stathis. He was a fantastic host and offered in depth information on everything we saw. We went to the volcano and hot springs which is where the service on the Anemos comes into its own, we were able to avoid the large cruises with vast amounts of other tourists on, which was a huge bonus. We also got to try our hand at some fishing before stopping for lunch in Thirassia. All in all a wonderful way to spend a day made all the more special by Captain Stathis.
