“Excellent meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is a very beautiful restaurant, with very interesting plates! I really enjoyed my time here, and was very pleased. It is a bit of expensive, but it deserves it, both for the meal and for the view. And after all you know what you pay before you enter!
Also the staff was very helpful with everything!

“Awesome, a bit pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Last time we went here (our honeymoon) it was my favorite place. I think the menu is a little less creative than Floga, and the food itself is maybe not quite as spectacular as Ambrosia. The view of the sunset is awesome, but it's windy, so don't wear your hair down. Definitely one of the more expensive restaurants in Oia, but it's a must-do, second to Ambrosia and maybe Floga!

“Worst Ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

This restaurant only has two seatings, 8:00 and 10:30. We had the 8:00. By 9:00 we finally got bread. By 9:30 salad, and by 10:00 our main course. By the time our food arrived 3 or 4 groups had walked out. Food was cold, over priced and very, very small portions. By far the most expensive place and worst food of the trip.

“Snobbish, pretentious, exteremly over-priced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Snobbish, pretentious, extremely over-priced
Appetizers were smaller-than-bite-size. The octopus was over-seasoned. Main entry was bite-size. The sauces were applied as artistic pretty brush strokes or drops. But there were too little to mix in the main ingredient. They change all the plates and silverware for you after each dish, which is no more than a bit and took just a second to eat. So it was constant hectic change of plates and silverware and you couldn’t have a conversation. After 3 courses we were still hungry, so we went to another restaurant to start over our dinner.

All other restaurants, pricy or moderate and cafes we eat in Oia and other Greek islands have outstanding foods, especially octopus. 1800 has dishes that are very pretty to look at, but do not taste any better than a café. You are paying at lease 10 times more here. Besides several seat on the second floor near the street, your view is only the sky, not even a corner of the sea. In many other Oia restaurants you’d have an unforgettable sea view.

“Fantastic 1st night dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

Amazing dinner upon arrival in Santorini. You can't fail to be seduced by the 19th century house with its original furniture, spectacular Oia sunset and its magnificent roof terrace. Food very was fine dining of Greek inspiration. Have the octopus salad it is magnificent. Service was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant also gave us a free dessert from the menu to try, in addition to amuse bouches and vinsanto (some sort of port) at the end. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner.
