The queen Of Sheba is a very plain, no frills, no service place. It's located in between two lovely lodges, the Pingwe Beach lodge and the Seasons lodge, and you're better off to choose either one of them.

The staff in the Sheba lodge seems to be very unhappy, no smile, no friendly word, no service, it feels like there's a total lack o management.

The foux us absolutely appalling and there're no services or anything that would mak this place worth staying at.

Just not my cup of tea!

We had 2 great weeks in January 2012. It is the best beach of Zanzibar and not crowded. We were looking for a site to relax at the sandy beach and not to be disturbed. so this small and very quiet hotel with good and fresh food was perfect. We preferred fresh sea food depending on the catch of the fishermen. The hotel management arranged some great tours to Stonetown, Prison Island, diving at the atoll, spice tour.
We celebrated our wedding there and had a great party. The staff decorated the garden, arranged a fantastic barbecue menu and a great party which was a great surprise. Thank you again. Hope we'll come back. Tom and Nadi

I stayed there for 4 nights and loved every minute of it!!! My room was massive, super clean and very good value but what made my stay even more perfect was the people. Sheba and Petra are so welcoming and Yasser & Denis couldn't do enough for me! I would go back in a heartbeat and was very sad to leave everyone.
Location wise, the Queen of Sheba is right next to Pongwe beach hotel so is located on the best part of the beach. I love Pongwe, it's beautiful, quiet and so relaxing to stay here. I had been there a while back but the Queen of Sheba was under a different management then and just wasn't as nice, Sheba has done a fantastic job bringing this place back to it's glory days and I had the most fantastic time. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making my stay exceptional and see you next time I'm in Zanzibar :)

We stayed for three days at this very nice resort.
the rooms were clean and nicely dressed up, hot and cold water and a nice big shower.
the staff were very friendly and from morning till night they were there to help you but still stay in the background.
I went fishing and caught three big fish and the cook grilled the biggest for us it was LOVELY!
the boss and his wife were very nice people and i hope to visit them again in the future, really this is a must go place if your on a smaller budget.
Ok the ocean disappears for a few houres a day but its nice when it comes back in because it brings a nice wind with it like a natural airco.
and once its in you can swim just from the stairs down on the beach in front of queen of sheba.
Me and my wife loved the place!
