Really enjoyed the quiet pace at Mweni Ruins, yet close enough to Stonetown to go for dinner or an outting. Had a lovely dhow trip arranged by the hotel, would have only been improved by some wine and snacks on the dhow- bring your own, if you go out.
Atmospheric ruins in a beautiful garden setting. Well worth an afternoon wandering through the ruins and garden, then down to the beach or the hotel deck restaurant that is located next door.
If you are looking for yoga classes - this is the place to go. Jo is a very friendly person who gave me a ride from Stone Town to the ruins where classes are held. The setting is stunning and the atmosphere amongst the class is really laid back! Highly recommend the experience.
