“Paradise Found!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

This is my 5th visit to Zanzibar and we have found paradise! Zanzi Resort is a 7 room property set in the most stunning gardens overlooking a dramatic coastline/beach. Each room is a very private villa with a spacious bedroom, large lounge area and extremely well-appointed bathroom. Each villa has it's own private pool and garden area overlooking the beach/sea. The staff are extremely friendly and well-trained and the food is the best I have eaten on the island.

We celebrated my partner's birthday here and were treated to a torchlit dinner on a private beach with only the sound of the waves to accompany our meal. Truly magical! The food was unbelievably good - onion and wild garlic soup, aubergine, tomato and mozzarella tower, jumbo prawns and a birthday cake baked specially and totally unprompted by the chef.

Zanzi Resort is a real find......excellent in all respects and at a very reasonable price compared to other hotels on the island. If you want romance this is the place to be! We'll be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in Villa 4 which is probably the most private at the resort

i have just returned from a one night stay at Zanzi Resort and it was not long enough! it is a small boutique resort situated a short distance from stone town but it felt like a million miles away. The villas are beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and spacious. Each villa has its own pool and is set in a verdant garden. The villas are also extremely private and ooze romance. Every meal i have eaten at Zanzi Resort has been delicious, imaginative and well presented. We enjoyed dinner on the beach - a stunning experience. The staff are attentive without being overly so and friendly without being over familiar. This is a hidden gem! well done to Marek and his team.

Right from the start of our stay it has been wonderfull. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Anything was possible. The villa was beautifula and secluded from the other villa's. The little details (flowers on the bed, flowers in the towels, sculptures of food etc) made our stay even more complete. The private beach and pool offered romantic sunset views. The whole resort was very tidey and beautiful. What we liked was that the villa and the pool was cleaned while we were away. If requested lunch and dinner could be served at our villa as well. Our private beachdinner was fantastic. This resort is perfect for couples. If you have the time do get a massage, we didn't want to leave this beautiful spot, and we hope to come back some day

Room Tip: Villa 4 was the most secluded villa with great views

It's really the most accurate description for that awesome place, it's a part of heaven, a sweet dream that you wish it never ends, the privacy and relaxing atmosphere through your private villa with private pool and private beach and outside bathing area from outside from inside everything is cozy starting from the music player (that includes a variety of tremendous music) passing through WIFI connection, cable TV, air-conditions & Fans, couch, dinning table, and the king-size bed.
When taking about the F&B, really i'm speechless, you have to try it yourself to have this amazing feelings i had.
Staff is the biggest asset for this place, from warm welcoming with the cold juice, till the waiving goodbye with natural true smile.
I believe this "Zanzi resort" is absolutely the best option to choose if you want a holiday never to forget.
Thank You Zanzi Resort staff.

Zanzi Resort offers what one cannot really buy - privacy and tranquillity in splendid surroundings. The mini-resorts features 7 very private villas all of which are located within a tropical and well maintained garden that includes a vast variety of plants, bushes and trees. The villas offer total privacy, have direct access to the small and private beach through private pathway and offer a private swimming pool as well. Since the resort is only 8 months old, everything is well-maintained but also extremely well build; an important aspect to me has always been to keep the wild-life out of the bedroom which Zanzi Resort managed as well.

I felt that I got service at the tip of a finger but also was left alone when I wanted and needed it. The crew is young and professional, very well trained and most accommodating. They would do anything do accommodate your requests efficiently by keeping their sparking personality and individuality which I adored. The European owner is hands-on himself and has established a culture of providing a home for those who are looking for one or offer to be left alone for those who are after this.

The food menu is limited but the dishes offered good and consistent. The wine list offers a small collecting of internationally known brands at different price levels.

Finally, Zanzi Resort is the place I would be going back to when returning to Zanzibar and most impressed me considering that I am a found Bali lover.

And amazingly beauftiful place. Great villas with private wave pool and private beach the attention to detail was first class. Great food and they couldn't do enough for us. The walk through the extensive beauftul gardens washed all your cares away.
